I don't think the texture looks bad, but it's hard to distinguish as being different from the original texture... so yeah, I'm afraid using it would constitute copyright infringement. There are ways to use their assets which can be helpful without retaining any proof of it, like when I textured a plane with the redoran symbol from a banner and used the design to create a 3d symbol. I couldn't have done it nearly as good without the foundation as a reference, but no-one could prove that. Actually that's a bad example because whether it could be proven or not it's not copyright infringement... could be trademark violation, but the symbol isn't trademarked.
But thankyou for your effort, I appreciate it. Oh, and around here we usually use 7-zip. The .7z format gives better compression than any other, which becomes more noticeable the larger the file is. It also happens to be capable of creating RAR archives, and does it better than any other zip program I know of.

That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs, but what a ship is - what the Black Pearl really is - is freedom.

I bet they would be perfect for a small mushroom. But for a hat as enormous as the parasol's, they seem to me to be just too low-res.

the parasols look great razorwing :goodjob:! the only critique i have is "edge" of the mushroom should be much rounder, less sharp like they are now

Those look great. They certainly do look a lot more natural with the branching roots at the top, and I like how these seem to bend a little more at unusual angles, supporting the fact that they are fantasy plants, but still retaining an earthy appearance. Great job. :goodjob:

Quote:Originally posted by dwemer lizard Thing is, Bethesda owns that and all other textures from TES III and they don't want us to use them in Oblivion mods. Since using them would be copyright infringement, they could go after us and shut down the website or indite the person responsible for it if we reused them. So, it's not a matter we can afford to take lightly Hopefully some pixel jockey around here will save the day.

making textures is realy easy, especialy when your trying to imitate. to anyone who will do this: just open the original files and redraw them on a different page... then add some evects (noise, etc.) to make them look belivable...
