The Two Moons Dance
This is a poem (my poetry cogs are rather rusty) about how Ja-Kha'jay bound the Khajiit to himself with Azurah's hints. Not a rhyming poem, but then, those are rare enough anyway.
:alert: The Two Moons Dance Anonymous Ja-Kha’jay, That great cat, With the moons in his paws, Watches Nirni. Nirni, That jealous cat, With her children in her paws, Watches Ja-Kha’jay. Ja-Kha’jay, With big claws, Passes the moons to and fro, Pleasing Nirni. Nirni, With big teeth, Smiles at Ja-Kha’jay, Delighted. Ja-Kha’jay speaks; Watch their dance, And so Nirni did; She watched them. Jone, Blood Red, Took his partner Jode, Sugar White. Together, They danced, Across the skies and stars, Of Aurbis. The moons twirled and danced, And when both of them were brigh,t They rejoiced and sang, And one of Nirni’s children changed. Senche, With four strong legs, Snarled his gratitude, To Ja-Kha’jay. The moons continued their ballet, And when they both were dark, They rejoiced and sang, Another of Nirni’s children changed. Suthay, With light fingers, Bowed in adoration, Of Ja-Kha’jay. The moons frolicked and danced, Guided by Ja-Kha’jay’s paws, Each time they rejoiced and sang, Another of Nirni’s children changed. There came Tojay, Quick of mind. And Alfiq, Magically gifted. And Ohmes, With his slick tongue. There came Dagi, With his excellent eyes, And Cathay, With their strong muscles, And all the others between, And all paid homage to Ja-Kha’jay Nirni, That jealous cat, Glared at Ja-Kha’jay Teeth bared. Ja-Kha’jay speaks; A gift for Nirni, And he makes another moon, Held in his teeth. And Nirni smiles As Mane appears, Peace keeper, And he bows to both Nirni and Ja-Kha’jay. Ja-Kha’jay and Nirni are at peace But Nirni cannot see, Azurah whispering secrets, Into Ja-Kha’jay’s ears, The binding is complete. :alert: Let me know what you think.
