Introduction:

Erur-Dan was a Gulakhan of the Erabenimsun long ago, the late Ranabi of that same Tribe is his last known descendant. As the Ashlanders keep oral histories, we write them down so that their legacy may not be lost. This we know from his Tribe and also from what the Nerevarine said Erur-Dan's ghost said to him:
"I saw Morrowind fall to the Empire. I lived through the humiliation of the surrender, swore hatred and vengeance against Imperial and Tribunal alike for their betrayals. In later years, I despaired, and turned to Red Mountain, where I grew old and died fighting the blight and Red Mountain monsters. Take my weapons and armor. I have no further use for them."
The current Erabenimsun Ashkhan Han-Ammu mentioned that the False Incarnate and that he had a robe:
?Yes. I recognize it. Ranabi wore that robe, the Robe of Erur-Dan the Wise. It was handed down to Ranabi through his family.? Han-Ammu currently wears the robe along with Sanit-Kil?s Heart of Fire and Airan-Ammu?s war ax.
Erur-Dan seems to be an early False Incarnate as he mentions the four-score war. It seems he was a very nationalistic and patriotic man who left his tribe, his island, and his old life to go fight for all of Morrowind. Unfortunately he and all those who fought for those eighty years would be disappointed.

The three sat around the smoldering embers. Finally a dignified Dunmer wearing a crown of scrib shells spoke. He asked the elderly woman next to him what the dreams meant. For dreams are of great importance to the ashlanders and no doubt of great concern for the Ashkhan, as this Dunmer certainly was, since he was the protector of his tribe. Then the wise-woman spoke:
?Erur-Dan speaks of a powerful dream. He sees his ancestor Ranabi-Adanat fighting the northmen. But upon looking closer he sees it is himself, bearing his spear, and wearing both his cuirass and robe. The House-warriors fighting alongside him suddenly turn on him. He is driven away. He sees the land from Red Mountain to the steamy jungles of Dres being flooded by outlanders riding on the backs of Dunmer slaves. Then, a vision of Azura pointing to Red Mountain. This can only point to the invasion of the Empire we have heard of. News travels slowly to Vvardenfell, but if we are to trust the merchant from Vivec City, then there is indeed a bloody war. Erur-Dan, it is your choice if you will follow you dreams. You are wise for your age, but forget not your tribe and remember you are son of the Gulakhan.?
Shifting nervously at first, but then looking up confidently, Erur-Dan began to speak?
?Wise-woman, I do not see why I, an Erabenimsun should not go.? He takes out a Nordic helm. ?See, men have come before and we drove them out. Malak Orcs attacked two years ago and we drove them back to the north near Zergonipal. Some Ordinators killed some of our tribesmen on a pilgrimage to Bal Ur and we avenged their deaths. I do not see why I should not go to fight the n?wah who threaten all Dunmer ??
Then the Ashkhan interrupted, ?Erur-Dan, remember who the mainlanders are. They are a treacherous and settled people. They will not be able to hold out forever, and they will not treat you as an equal. There is no Dunmer people, there has not been since Resdayn. Now there is only Redoran, Telvanni, Hlaalu, Indoril, Dres, Temple, and our Tribes. Where is Great House Dagoth or House Mora? Long gone. There is distrust. It seems according to your dream Morrowind will be conquered, must you go??
?I have decided I shall..?
?Then let us have a feast for your departure, for it is unlikely we will see you ever again?
?Thank you f?lah Ashkhan, may I do my ancestors proud?
?I know you will.?


Erur-Dan gasped as he neared Vivec City. It was a blasphemous place no doubt, being devoted to a false god, but it was magnificent. He maneuvered his skiff into one of the great canals and gaped at the looming forts. The Cantons bustled with Velothi porters and merchants bringing goods from the wilderness of Vvardenfell and a few Ashlanders bringing exotic foods and wildlife. Unflinching Ordinators watched the lanes, and Dunmer of all Houses, even some outlanders, talked in Dunmeric, Ashlander, and Cyrodiilic. He found the Redoran canton and skipped up the ramp. He quietly stepped past grizzled Redoran veterans in tough bonemold comparing swords and found a tavern. There he met an Urshilaku, a pleasant surprise?
?Hail Ashlander, I am Erur-Dan of the Erabenimsun, and you f?lah are...??
?I am Kunat, and I am glad to see an Ashlander face in Vivec City, what brings you here??
?I have had visions. I have come to fight for Morrowind.?
?Ah, I have come for I have been exiled from my tribe? ?
?I see, a shame? ?
?I understand, it is not comfortable to speak to an outcast, there is a Redoran officer over there, he should be able to help you, just buy him a sujama and that should make him more? accepting.?
?Many thanks outcast, I hope you redeem yourself someday.?
?I hope so too, now go young one, the Redoran officer won?t stay for long, he?ll soon be off to the frontline, and that?s where you wish to be, eh??
?There is a way to be good again Kunat, come with me later when we join the fight to protect Morrowind. We may all be of different clans, but in the face of enemies we must be brothers.?
Chuckling, Kunat replied, ?that?s funny, I haven?t heard nonsense that good since a whore told me she wanted to be my wife? now go.?
Erur-Dan approached the tired looking Dunmer with a bottle of sujama.
?Serjo, might you be the Redoran officer I hear tell of??
?Indeed, I come to Vivec to see if I could catch any recruits?. Though I did not expect a barbarian? no matter, I hear you Ashlanders make good warriors.?
?Of course, but I would prefer not to be called a barbarian from a House-pig, you mainlanders all ??
?I do not think you should address me like that if you wanted to join my battalion? ?
?My apologies Redoran, here have another sujama??
?That is better. I have dealt with worse people, and they were well brought up House-folk too; go to the docks tomorrow, the Redoran boats leave in the morning.?
?Yes sir.?
That night Erur-Dan tossed and turned. Excitement coursed through him like lava in a Foyada. But before finally drifting asleep he briefly considered what he would be missing? Ashkhan?s greeting, his mother?s tasty spiced scuttle, his pet nix-hound? oh and cliffracers? cliff racers, oh no he would not miss those, going to the mainland would be a great idea, a great get-away from those damned racers?


Marching. Marching. More Marching. Erur-Dan could not believe this was the training for the House-folk. This was cruel and unusual punishment surely. As a warrior in his Tribe, he honed his skills by hunting and raiding, walking the warpath and killing enemies seemed to be much better practice than these drills. Finally as the sun began to set the soldiers were allowed back to their tents. The large communal tents were nothing compared to yurts back at home, the mazte unspeakably worse than the mazte that his tribe made from wild saltrice, and the Redoran?s disgust towards Ashlanders did not help one bit. Erur-Dan stiffly trudged over to the large tent he had been assigned to. He downed a disgustingly mild shien and fell asleep. Some shaking from the sleeping mat next to him woke him from his slumber.
?What the Dagon are you doing?!?
?Uh, what sir? Nothing.. no serjo.. I??
Erur-Dan looked at the young Dunmer for a moment. The boy, Fanim, was only 17 at the oldest. Damn, the Redoran militias aren?t in good shape to fight battle-hardened Legions, no matter how much courage they have, he thought. At least the professional Redoran warriors were good, if they lived up to their reputation; best warriors in Morrowind. He realized why the boy had been moving about and said, ?don?t do yourself, save it for your future girlfriend.?
Embarrassed, the young man took his hands away from his crotch and slipped on his blanket; he stared at the top of the tent silently, blushing redder than baked ash yams. After a long pause, and regaining his composure the younger spoke.
?Serjo, why are you here? You are an Ashlander no??
?Yes, and I am here to fight for Morrowind??
?That is good, we need more who would die for all of Dunmer-kind, not just their clans. ?
?I agree, and we need fewer of your kind of person, that?s why our population grows so slow, kids like you are content just doing yourselves??
?Serjo, I left a girlfriend at home so?.?
?Yea right, that?s a lie, I can tell, now go to sleep??
?What do you think we?ll be doing tomorrow??
?Marching.?
?But, how will we get to the frontlines??
?Marching.?
?And what if we?re defeated, how will we flee??

?What if we win, will be get rewards and booty??
Erur-Dan had already fallen asleep.


Grinning confidently, the now renown officer of ashlander origin strode into the pavilion. Standing around a table were several distinguished Dunmer. Duke Indoril Brindisi Dorom flexed his muscles unconsciously as he looked at his reflection in a steel breastplate hanging on the wall. Drelas Arobar paced impatiently, stopping only to nod at Erur-Dan. A few Redoran conversed with the Buoyant Armiger Grand Marshal and an Ordinator General stood separate, listening but silent. A Dres noble checked his scimitar before nodding to his Argonian slave to close up the pavilion. Vivec, man-god, guardian of Morrowind, stoop up and smiled.
?Welcome. I have called this meeting for we must coordinate our strategy. The Imperials have taken Blacklight.?
Scattered murmurs of shock and anger began to rise.
?The Redoran militias for all their heart cannot hold much longer. Some unbroken Redoran warbands still persist a guerilla war, but the Temple forces are not large enough to hold back the outlanders alone.?
Hesitantly, the Dres noble spoke up, ?Lord Vehk, we did suggest luring the n?wah into the interior where they could be slaughtered by guerilla tactics and ambuscades??
?Dres, do not bore me with things that could have been? if we lured the Imperials into the interior, the Hlaalu would have defected earlier, the Redoran would be ruined, and your plantations would be razed? you forget I am a god, though as much a man as you.?
?My humble apologies Lord Vehk? I??
?No matter, Duke, bring out the map? as you can see the Redoran are about to fall. The Black gate is just waiting to be taken. When that falls, so will Kragenmoore if we do not move the army south.?
?But what of our lands Lord Vehk??, asked a troubled Drelas Arobar.
?You must choose Drelas, all of you must choose, to fight for Morrowind, or to fight for your Houses? Dorom, do not smirk, I see in all of you the disunity that I saw before Resdayn? united we stand, but disunited, we fall and always have. Now we are against a force that even if we do stand together, we may not be guaranteed victory.?
?But the Hlaalu, they abandoned us!? grumbled a flustered Duke of Mournhold.
?When a child abandons his father, will his father not do his best to find and save his wayward son? If we save Morrowind, I hope that renown charity of the Indoril will be in your eyes and you will all forgive the Hlaalu for their fear. You, despite your support, are as prejudiced and divided as the rest of these people here? note you did not speak of the Telvanni?s unwillingness to fight, but find every chance to abuse the Hlaalu.?
?Lord Vehk I did not??
?Enough? until you learn to see your rival clan as your brother, we will not win. Anyhow, enough of that. If we do not strategize we will not win either?.?
The meeting lasted until sun down. The generals and officers left, some optimistic and some in secret despair. Vivec would be going to Bodrums. The Dres noble was sent back south to muster more of his folk. Erur-Dan left with a big smile on his face; his militia and a troop of Dres warriors would be going to the Shargon Hills to intercept a Legion.


?Fanim, get the militia ready, the Legion has come!?
Fanim, now 23, ran down the hill into the small valley. The encampment of Redoran militiamen and Dres warriors quickly assembled and took their positions. And as suddenly as the battalion mobilized it stopped, and the valley fell silent. A cloud of dust appeared behind the hills to the west and the din of clanking armor and marching feet reached the ears of the Dunmer before the Legion was seen.
Upon seeing the camp, the legionnaires charged in and readied to hack at unsuspecting Dunmer. However they found it empty and as soon as the entire army had entered the valley, they heard a tremendous rumbling. Boulders fell down on both ends, filling of the gaps in the valley and the Imperial soldiers found themselves trapped. Arrows, fire, lighting, and javelins fell like spring thunderstorms on the startled Legion. Within minutes they surrendered. Most of the Legion was still standing, held in the air and pinned in place by hundreds of arrows and spears. A few, including their commander, huddle in a circle and dropped their weapons. Almost unnoticeably at first, the Dunmer trickled out of the hills, wearing mottled and dull cloaks over their chitin and netch. They came out, picking up arrows and spears and prying fine Cyrodiilic swords out of dead hands. A few showed the dying mercy with the head of the spear or a quick thrust of the sword.

?Imperial scum, you have been captured, prepare to be imprisoned for we do not take kindly to n?wah!? shouted a joyful Erur-Dan followed by the cheers of his battalion.
?Dunmer, do you not know? Your great Vivec was defeated at Coronati. There is a truce. You have broken the peace.?
?You speak lies, a temple force will be coming and they will settle this.?
Soon a force of mount ordinators did arrive. But they were followed by Imperial knights?
?F?lah, it seems we were too late? there is a truce..? cried an uneasy Temple emissary.
?You see stupid Dark Elf, there is a truce?, and turning to the emissary the Imperial commander snarled, ?if these scoundrels aren?t taken care of, a Legion will be coming after Narsis. They have broken the peace and word will reach my masters.?
?Indeed emissary, my orders from the Prince were to keep on watch and to march on Narsis should the truce be broken??, agreed the leader of the Imperial knights.
?N-N-Narsssis? please don?t general? Ordinators, arrest the officer!?
A shocked Erur-Dan stared at the commander who smiled wickedly as he watched the Dunmer officer dragged away by two Ordinators, past his shocked and surprised battalion. A tearful Fanim ran after the Temple entourage but could not catch up to the guars.


?It?s for the good of Morrowind, don?t you understand? We could not win this war as disunited as we are? its best to at least broker an Armistice where were retain our traditions? said the emissary as he handed Erur-Dan a bowl of scuttle stew.
?We could have won. It is only fools like you who turn away at the fateful moment and doubt.?
?Erur-Dan, eat, or you will not survive the trip.?
?Get that crap away from me you Temple dog!? yelled Erur-Dan as he knocked away the bowl.
?Fine. For your information you are headed to the prisons in Vivec. May you have time to rethink there.?
?You fetchers don?t care for Morrowind! N?chow, you little shitters just care about your false-gods? did they win you victory?!?
?Morrowind? There is no Morrowind? there is only Redoran, Telvanni, Hlaalu, Indoril, Dres, the blessed Triune Temple, and your filthy Tribes.?
The ship did eventually make it to Vivec, but Erur-Dan escaped. He was silent the whole way, communicating with strider keepers and locals with hand signals. For he had a dream the night before escaping; a golden-masked figure in the depths of the Star-Wound beckoned and told him there was a way to drive out the n?wah, if he could survive the perils that lay between him and Erur-Dan. He traveled back to the Molag Amur and tracked down his tribe. He was greeted by the Erabenimsun but he met their joyous tears with grave solemnity. ?I go to Red Mountain to die?, he said, and gave them his robe. They later found his body on the slopes of Red Mountain, surrounded by a dozen dead Blight monsters. His cuirass was covered in blood and his spear lodged in the throat of his last target. He died, as he had lived, trying to find a way to keep Morrowind free.

I just think some of our players might have issues about someone pleasuring themself in our stories. But if no one has any issues with it, it's fine I guess.

It's definately a good story though, I like it. I like them all.

yea, if people DO have issues with it, it can be edited, or maybe there are Temple-sponsored editted copies and then the true one in Holamayan monastery but if people are cool w/ it then i think it should stay

yeah I'm on a writing streak... on the Black Marsh and Vvardenfell MQs I am currently in a mind-block so i figured I'd think about other but related topics which might get my mind going and get my mind creative...
plus I AM one of the only writers here... if I'm gonna do something, I'm gonna do it good

but aside from that I feel a littlle tired making 2 5 page stories recently :yes:
unless I get real inspired to make more of these tales its gonna be to drawing i go... then back to stories again .... or maybe blueprint Vivec City... which will be fun at first, take about a week, and then fatal towards the end :eek:

You left out an M in sujamma, and I'm not sure about shein. Also, you misspelled guerrilla, but that term really shouldn't be used in MW.

Oh, and front lines is not one word. (You might could get away with a hyphenation)

Change (near the end) 'unnoticeably' to unnoticeable'. It's easier and just flows a little better. You can add 'started' after Dunmer in that sentence if you like.

(and I always though N'wah was capitalized?) I'm also not sure if there's an 'e' on the end of Kragenmoor(e). I just can't recall, I'm sure it's on some map though.
