[WIP] Tenmar Wall

Ok, been busy scripting but I got back to making these textures. Currently generating the Normal Maps and will be testing in-game. Here is what is left:

1 - Fighters Guild Front Piece
2 - Mossy Roof Texture

Then I just gotta make a better alpha channel for the Normal Maps, pretty much done, I am hoping to finish today or tomorrow

Excellent news, IS! Tenmar Wall could be completed soon then. RE: textures.....could you check the existing textures in the current archive: Black Marsh Resources: Latest bsa ?

I like the idea of creating unique models but I'm very much aware of the growing size of our asset collection and the effects on memory. If your purpose can be served by using an existing texture then that would help. It would also avoid the slight possibility of making our settlements too much of a jumble of different styles. We could actually use a few settlements that use the same models, such as the Argonian village stuff, to establish BM's general character. Sometimes less is more. =)

Well I have two more textures to create plus normal maps = 4 new textures, + 12 textures I have [Inlcuding normal maps]. Just thought you might wanna know

As soon as my internet speed increases I will download and take a look, the major texture I could do with is the mossy roof texture, would save me a bit of time. Also the textures I have created can be used on any Bruma Architecture, all the Bruma models I am using have the same textures, which means less for the .bsa and more usability.

Note: I would not worry about the effects the mod has on the game, a mod this size cannot be pefectly streamlined. Also the effects are not major or even noticable at times if everything is done correctly. Though a large mod is a pain when it comes to uploading and downloading.

Another note: IG, I use 4shared for Vv file storage, at the moment we have 3 files weighing in at around 300MB total, which is quite good. Though we are not using a .bsa. Saying that, Captain Ultima noticed that using 7zip to compress the folders is better than making a .bsa.

You could always go for an uncompressed .bsa for the ease of use, and let 7 zip do the compression. Best of both worlds.

Never thought of that, thanks , will keep that in-mind when it comes to the Vv release. But more importantly it should help IG

Thanks guys. I'm aware that ST use a 7z so we'll probably go that way too.

As for roof textures, go check out Chasepoint's 'old mossy roof'. That should work nicely. There are plenty of others though.....
