That looks good for a basic shape, Tang Mo needs some large islands.
Knifeblossom, although it has only a couple of settlements, could definitely use some more land (we could use it for wilderness). And yeah, the map is split in 2 (but maybe we should have a land bride beween the two, probably connecting Knifeblossom with Ka'Po Tun... maybe).

Has there been any developments? I recently learnt to model with Wings3d so hopefully, things can get moving quicker with more modellers.

Quote:Originally posted by exilehunter I have been on vacation for a couple of weeks without telling anyone, so I don't know, it does not look like something has been done while I was away. I also recently learnt to model with wings3d and I had some time to practice with it, and I got better at it =) And I just got Photoshop again, I just have to install it and hope it works. Then I can finally start to learn how to UV map my models, do you know how to UV map models? Anyway, we could use some more dungeon models if you think you can do that, I could give some suggestions but first I would like to know what you can do and want to do.

Uv mapping is a bit of a pain but you get use to it. Vince has a Wings 3d tutorial at tesnexus with a bit on UV mapping. Heres a tip though, use loop cut to break models into different pieces that require different textures.
for simple uv maps, select faces and right click uv mapping - direct or segment (doesnt matter at the moment). then the uv mapping screen pops up. select your faces and right click. have a play around with segment by - projection or feature detection. then right click and select continue - unfold, project normal etc. this will make a uv map off the default texture. later, when you import a textured model into nifskope, replace the nitexturingproperty string with one from a vanilla mesh. and thats the basics. sounds pretty weird but follow vince's guide first. as for dungeons, i'm still getting my skills up with furniture models. I'm making a resource pack at the moment which has its WIP link here: http://ljosa.proboards57.com/index.cgi?b...174&page=1 need to signup though. |
