Oblivion uses .egm files for helms to make the mesh adjust to the shape of the wearer's head. Thru my testing of the my rig, I realized that I need this type of file in order to make sure that the helm fits perfectly around any head it may go on. Anyone know anything about how these files work or how to create one?

I have never actualy heard of one, ask around on ESF? PM CuteUnit, she's not on a lot, but she made the breakthrough.

Yea I just made a post over at ESF...hopefully someone will help me out. The rig works just fine...but without that .egm file some npc's and player models will have the head clip thru a bit in the back. So its either I make the helm actually bigger to fit anyone...or make one of these files. I think in the long run it will look better with the .egm file controlling it.
Oh well...guess the helms wont be completely finished today because of this revelation.

What about the Egm for the legion helmet? You used it as a base right? Since there is nothing closer to the head than the original helmet, it should work.

I tried...I guess since its not the same mesh it wont work. I dont get any error messages, just nothing happens. I'm gonna look at the nif and see if there's any place for it in there.

Have you tried contacting Cryo? (Cyro?) He is making an armor, so is that other guy, they surely know.
