I'm not in charge of this Blackmarsh project, so you will need to wait for Ibsen's Ghost to post with his decision. What you can probably do in the meantime, is post a list of your members' names, and the skills each of your members has, such as modeling, texturing, animating (simple Nifskope animations vs. making creatures), CS skills, scripting, Nifskope knowledge, etc. This will give us better knowledge of your team. For example, personally, I can model, texture, animate (simple and creature), collision, and do Nifskope stuff to make my creations work in the game. I know simple scripting, and a little about the CS (construction set) as well. Koniption

Yes, that would be cool. Contact me on ICQ though to discuss how to proceed. The biggest questions include things like:
At the moment, we are focusing only on five regions for the beta version so if you preferred to operate together then this could be arranged so that you have some independence from the BM core. However, this would also mean that we would need to keep in close contact to avoid any contradictions, discontinuity or differences of opinion. On the other hand, working on a claims basis would make the whole operation a lot tighter but might not give you the opportunity to really develop your own ideas to the full. Personally, I think it would be good work together for now and, if you developed an idea you were keen on working on as a group then you might wish to concentrate your team's efforts on that. Our team is not big now, but we are still recruiting... DoZeNt (Denius) - CS SoK (Maximus) - Modeling & texturing Odal_Far - scripting and questing oblivion97 - landscaping & CS As for the Worldspace, It would be better if the player could just get there on a horse or smth.. just putting the marshes landscape next to the Cyrodiil one... I use an English CS... We can make blackmarsh in English, then I will translate it to Russian |

It is possible to make a separate worldspace that has a normal transition, like that experienced when moving through a door. Silgrad Tower is, I believe, working on just such a system.
I understand that you'd like a smoother transition for the sake of immersion, but there are definite advantages to having a separate worldspace. The main advantages of using a separate worldspace are that it will be less likely to create conflicts with other mods which alter Cyrodiil, and that it will not cause slowing of the game (Cyrodiil is, I believe, already about as big a landmass as the game can load at one time)

That's true. A continuous landscape is definitely more preferable but keeping it separate is, I believe, a massive bonus in terms of avoiding errors and fps issues....logging in to ICQ now....
