I'm revisiting this piece again today, I'll try and get some kind of fast bells in there and see how that sounds
FLESH: Yeah I think you're right that it would fit indoor battle best.
I'll play around with your idea for outdoor battle music today if I
have the time. |

Is it possible for Oblivion to choose battle music for indoor or
wilderness? I thought the tunes were picked up randomly from the Battle
directory. |

That was too for Morrowind, but they managed to make even regionbased
music, so I say yeah they can make indoor and wilderness music.

WOW!!!! I just listened to all your songs SolarRainUK, and you truly
are talented! My favorite one so far is "Dragonfly" (Oblivion 3 Mix 2).
Keep up the awsome work.

Thanks Killamike
Yeah the piece is a bit geared toward an 'epic' kinda battle I suppose,
probably because of theme from the french horn. I think battle music,
especially the original stuff from Jeremy Soule was quite minimal. I
might try something more similar to that.. |

I think it's possible to make music areabinded. I mean it would be
awsome to have your music change according to your place, darker if you
in a shaded area..., lighter if you're in the full sun. Same for
grassland, forests, mountains, river/water, ocean, beaches. This will
require tons of scripts and music parts that will be mixed. It's a
daring thing to do, but if we succeceed, well if the guys that are
going to do it
A game that does this a bit is yeah again Far Cry
although there the music is based on the AI, is it present, is it aware
of the player etc. For Valenwood I think area based is much better.
Make it work smooth require lots of music pieces that fit together and
fade in very well. Just a cool idea.

Actually to me, it sounds like I'm walking in an untamed jungle full of
Mystery and beauty. I think just one more song with this type of feel
would be awsome!
These couple of songs have inspired me to do some visual art for you
guys, if you give me some concepts ill model it for you guys, on my
free time which is limited, but ill get something done for the mod. If
FLESH has anything in perticular thats small(Prop models, or some
architecture) ill do it!
By the way, I drew a ton of concepts for mushroom houses, dont know
much about valenwood lore, but do they have mushroom houses? or do
their houses look like the "Rivendell" Style elves?

We are staying away from LOTR. Seems like my spell cast on the beautiful music of Solar Rain is working
I do have some small things that need to be modeled. And mushroom
houses are fine for Valenwood. Also, how are you on modeling small
creatures? No rigging (unless you can) just model (and texture if
possible). We have some concepts that we would like to come to life
Your offer is very appreciated, you can contact me by PM, looking forward to hearing what you have to say,

Great news.

definitely all good music. A good plan would be to make the music play
at different times/ places/ situations etc. so that the songs wouldn't
get worn out but we also wouldn't have to create like 50 pieces. And I
was thinking that if some of it had "ambient/scary noises" for the
darker forests so that when the player is walking down that dark path
it sounds like animals are everywhere. Just a thought, hope it helps.

We all want this but if we want more then 3 types (dungeon, city and explore) it requires tons of scripting....

Yeah, and I know the least of anybody about scripting, but it would add
to the atmospher and make people really feel like they're in that city
or that they really shouldn't be out this late.

I agree, but so far we see what we can do. First we need the heightmap and the cities, dungeons and NPC's etc.

Hi all.
Very sorry about my absence. I spoke to Flesh tonight, and explained to
him the problem with the links. Basically, my website site was hacked,
and everything got trashed on the site..I can put some of the music
back up there, but I don't feel very secure about it anymore..so I'm
looking into an alternative.
Will keep you posted.

Hi windsurfer: Yep, I saw the vid, good work putting that together! I was impressed..and thanks for including my music!
Speaking of which, I have a new piece to share..I was listening to a
lot of film music recently, and found some inspiration to try something
new.
I've added this to my old site again, but this MAY be temporary! Just warning you
This is the only music there so far, I need to dig into my old files to
find all the others again ...sigh. Anyway I hope you enjoy this (battle
music) piece.
Take care!

Thats ok, I realised after I had released it that I didn't give you credit for the music.
I may make another one. Well someone else may have to do it as I dont
have my powerful PC. On a laptop for nxt 6 months with oldblivion. Well
I'm home for 2 weeks maybe I will have time to complete enough to make
another vid. I would like to use your music again and this time give
you credit
.
Downloading now on this very slow connection
