'course I will have to go back and take a look later to see if I am satisfied with the adjustments, but he has written well. See what you think, and if you like it, then why don't you pm him a copy to him to give him a last chance to make any further adjustments. I had to dip in quite a few times to inject more sense where he was getting caught up in too many visions at once, and I hope that the result remains true to his vision and style - they were minor adjustments but effective. The colour change in the type was to enhance the feel of Ancient History being told - not sure if that is a cheap trick or valid graphics in a Morrowind setting. Alternatively, with a more varied package you might consider a different typeface? If you are both happy, then I will post it here! Chuffed about this work. ps. 'pologies about editing your post above Razor, meant to reply...

Well Razorwing, if you and Franc Chaos are both happy with the editing and want to release it now, then I will post the 'finished version' here for all to enjoy?

Hi, that's great, sorry if I'm slow in responding, didn't notice the PMs, go ahead. Here in the UK we've been having weeks of hot weather (as opposed to the two weeks a year we usually get), so I've been gadding about a bit. Really glad you liked the story. Halfway thru' writing their adventure in Akavir as well - there's a group creating Akavir which I'm really psyched about, they created religions, maps and a whole backstory which I used as backdrop.
Actually, if it's not too late, this paragraph is pretty superfluous: Quote:And? ... Now I also know why the pair are so cheerful. They are mad, simple as that. I had heard that simple folk were the happiest, lack of knowledge being no barrier to joy, but these two? One last thing, where would I go to have a dialogue proofread?

Good, I will post the 'finished text' here:
The Snake, Our Hero - by Franc Kaos :check: Quote::check: Tried to anticipate your second volume, with a slight adjustment to your ending. Not sure what about those lines you consider superfluous, so at a guess, does this do it? Somehow I suspect that the last two paragraphs may be a distraction, but if the Akaviri article is strong enough to add to this, then there must be some kind of link at the end. Could it be shorter? Would you like to consider this further? Even reconsider the way the 'journalist' presents it? Grrr, what is perfection and the meaning of life? Maybe it is ok as is for the moment? No, we are mising one vital element: The names of (the reporter sorted?) and the publication! As to dialogue, I can do that in Lit Dev if it is posted in simple text format = my computers cannot handle Oblivion. Otherwise it would depend on who is the Project Leader for whatever you are working on. Thing is not every project leader is a natural Engish Language speaker, though most operate comfortably in this lingo...

Quote:Tried to anticipate your second volume, with a slight adjustment to your ending. Not sure what about those lines you consider superfluous, so at a guess, does this do it? When I first wrote the story, I had no intention of writing about their trip to Akavir, and it kind'a felt like a clumsy finish - I guess I just didn't like the way the two lines read, but that's fine, and sorry, have no idea who the reporter is, but I kind'a like her, she's ballsy, like Lois Lane (in the original Reeves movie, not the vacuous pinup pup in the latest version), and she'll be creating some reports for the local rag being discussed elsewhere when I can think of some stories. My name's Franc Kaos by the by (not Chaos), tho' if that's not Elder Scroll-sy enough, then my alter ego is Franc Sintieve (Breton Name), (who's writing the Akavir adventure mostly), so that would fit better. I'm creating him as an NPC at some point when I've learned how to create quests and stuff. So yeah, that's great, go for it... (struggling with a maybe virus on my system - Nod32 keeps popping up with warnings - Jeez, hope I don't have to reinstall)...

urps.... yer id corrected, and (doing a mad editor in revenge), now you have three spellings to choose from for your reporter's name... guess you just acquired a wife or other relative! could be the mother in law! :lmao:

This doesn't look finished to me, not by a long way. It reads like a fragment of lots of different books stuck together. However, I really like the start, and I'd like to see it finished.
