as for images I suspect that you would have to troll around the forums requesting specific images to get anyone involved - sigh, an editor's work is never finished

I've heard that before, though I don't really agree. I wish I had the time to design a completely new Beyond Cyrodiil Blog (and with that, the Beyond Cyrodiil Images) but I don't right now...

I'm afraid that, though you did say it in capital letters, Beyond Cyrodiil is not literaly anything beyond cyrodiil, we're an affiliation of projects hosted and supported by Silgrad Tower, ST predates us, and is not a member project. It's not like it needs it either, ST has done far better than any other large scale Oblivion Mod project to date, in my honest oppinion. Take a look at the forum break down. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how its been in the past.

Yes, Silgrad Tower is above BC, but in this case it doesn't matter, Silgrad Tower has right to everything BC members have (and more so). Steadhelm is ST and ST is above BC. (and don't make much of a discussion of if Steadhelm pictures can be in BC Images)

Calm down Krisi - Razorwing has made it very clear that ST is not part of BC. But rather that BC is a separate, aligned offshoot that ST (hopefully happily) hosts. ST does not own BC, but Razorwing retains the right to refuse content on the ST website where we are hosted, and BC is grateful to have his support and administrative assistance.

Actually Razorwing (I believe in partnership with the original owner though that may have changed) pays for the website - no one here could afford to own the entire content - we have created 10s of millions of pounds/dollars worth of game expansion material already!

And so we entrust our work to the care of Razor and the other Core members. Big difference. So please don't go scaring modders away by implying that they are giveing away the rights to their work to the owner of this website for free. You'll scare off the professionals and the smart enthusiasts if you do that, and it is not true.

Razorwing and his Core could have made this the BC website, but they chose not to, they could have included ST in the BC structure, however BC modders are not permitted to post BC adverts on the ST forums, etc and we trust ST not to abuse our forums - common courtesy. Nothing wrong with that, it is just the way it is.

If ST wants to place ST within the BC shell then that would be great and all would be changed. But things are as things are, see it, accept it, live with it.

You see, since ST has made it so clear that they wish to retain the presentation of this website as ST I think we have to respect that, and if BC hosts ST content on the BC blog it should be made clear that ST and BC are co-operating mods that remain distinct - otherwise it might seem that BC is trying to take credit for ST work?

I would be happy to see ST in the BC shell, but I think that they have firmly decided against as they like what they have. If you want you might describe us as a family of mods, because so many of our people are doing or have done serious stuff with ST.

Why have they done it this way - I believe it is partly because once a mod gets to a certain size the leader has very little time for other stuff. Even if he wanted to Razorwing would have to spend as much time on the BC mods as he does on ST and administering the website generally would require that he work 72/24 every day ... not possible.

Razorwing's heart is firmly with ST, so be happy that he has given ST modders and new BC modders, space to grow their own dreams on the ST website. But please don't assume a relationship that does not exist.

Further if Cuthalion is paying for the BC blog (all praise to cuthalion) then he owns that ... but neverthless he does NOT own the content that he has not created himself. What he is doing again is hosting BC content with the express or implied permission of the creators and so he has an obligation to protect their rights, just as Razorwing has an obligation to protect the rights of the people he hosts on the ST site. This is a very serious responsibility and praiseworthy where handled correctly.

Otherwise you are claiming that someone other than me owns my work ... and given that I have not signed away my own copyrights etc, that I have entered into no such contract and no one has paid me a cent or penny for ownership of my work I would have to be very seeriously p******* o** with both them and you, Krisi

I absolutely agree with raggidman on this... Razorwing has given the Beyond Cyrodiil mods permission to use these forums, as such the Beyond Cyrodiil mods only own what they post on these forums, not the forums themselves.
