How about instead of having one side win, someone reunites them. Because having great houses dissapear entirely would kind of be breaking the lore.

Well, personally, I wouldn't find anything in Morrowind the same if even one house was to lose its power... So maybe each of the houses may retain control of their home city (i.e. Hlaalu keeps Balmora, Redoran -> Ald'ruhn and Telvanni -> Sadrith Mora) because of a treaty signed at the end of the war...
Also, are most of the main councillors survive (for example, I'd like to see Aryon, Dren, and Sarethi survive). Not so sure about Fyr though... What should we have happen to him? |

mind you this is tyhe caldera thread so stay on topic...
but "rest assured" I am thinking that this is what will happen.... the powers will be too exhausted to be able to make any huge demands on anyone. If the Redoran win, they may get Caldera, but they do not have the manpower to occupy Hlaalu territory.... the Telvanni would not have the manpower to take over all Mages Guild holdings and such.... etc.etc., if the Hlaalu win... the Hlaalu are recovering from economic shock of spending so much on war so they don;t have enough in their budget or manpower to occupy Redoran land.... Mages Guild and Morrowind Legion are exhausted from war as the Mages Guild is struggling to recruit and rebuild in places it can... and Morrowind Legion is weakened though it won and now needs to recruit more folks and train more.... basically... if House-League wins, the Redoran get Caldera, the Ashlanders get their land-rights and autonomy, the Telvanni get a magic-trade monopoly, and the Pariah kingdoms get official grants of their small lands. if the Helseth Alliance wins, then Hlaalu get Caldera, Mages Guild has a greater influence and will have members in all places except Telvanni lands. The Nords will get all of Sheogorad despite a few orc-holds still hanging on... and the northern West Gash will have a few Nords still hanging about... and the Morrowind Legion will be stationed in but not control Ald-ruhn and Sadrith Mora.... that's what I am thinking.... although of course afterthe war, your Hortator status is over... |

The councillors.....I will agree with Aryon and Sarethi alive, but Dren, that is a hard one. Based on how you play, he will side with House Dagoth and you need to kill him, or he will help you and you will become.....oh crap, what's the word.....hortator? of House Hlaalu. Fyr, he has lived his full thousand years of life and more, and I think he should have died by now.
Lol what?
