Well I guess I do hrug:
and I agree... I do not believe they lived underground either (though possible) but thats part of my thinking. their are no homes not even broken down homes...at least they don't look like homes And children...they don't exist at all Agreed, not even Dunmer or Men or other Mer, not that we need them to play the game, but it does give it a more realistic feel. On a side note: what about less ruined ruins ? towers and such that are less deteriorated. This would be nice also Have fun with LotRO Enjoy Bob

The Dwemer ruins are the forts so the underground part is for storeage. Also the reason why there are no images of the dwemer the Daedra or Aedra could tortue them if they saw them. :check:

perhaps the city was made with defesinve halls above, then hostels and workshops, then factories, and then maybe clan's living quarters, then further down vaults where the heirlooms and treasures might be, or maybe even a tomb where ancestors were buried or cremated

I dont get that at all.... Daedra/Aedra torturing the Dwemer ??? Aedra typically don't get involved in the day to day lives of the Mortals. Daedra possibly, but I don't recall any documented accounts of such occurances. If so it would be isolated insidents, and besides their all gone anyway. Enjoy Bob

It was always annoying how there were never any ruins that seemed as though they were the remnants of a civilization. I'm not quite sure what this mod already has/had in TES3, but the more it seems like the skeleton of a civilization, the better. These guys were an awesome race, and it wouldn't do them justice if everything was just walls and the barest of signs that this was once a dwemer city. Include things that would make sense in the context of a city. Where was the smith? How did they make all of their amazing machines? What kind of government was there (ex have council chambers). Basically, ask yourselves what a functioning city with advanced technology would have after a couple thousand years of decay, and add it.

Looks like you guys have got a credible layout for a dwemer city. Good going. I'll trust that you guys can be creative on the inside also? The more detailed and inventive the inside is, the more it reflects the civilization. Good start with the exterior. Can't wait to see the rest, once it's figured out.

Dwemer were advanced in magick technologies? I always got the impression that they were advanced technologically, but foreswore magicka and gods in favor of metals and mechanics. but i never played morrowind, so i'm just basing this on oblivion (plus i obviously haven't read everything there is to know on dwemer)
Why couldn't the dwemer be alive... coolest race if u ask me. Ahh well i guess bethesda's snuffed out that hope. darn lore. just a sidetracking rant, but ever notice how in every game the most kickass civilization (elves, ayleids, dwemer) have always died out? i wants my elven civilizations!
