Guess the city walls are done now:
Welcome to Daggerfall (once more) Inner walls (now with tower) New gate mesh Inside the city Quote:Originally posted by The Old Ye BardThanks! I'll upload the city wall meshes and textures and post a link here. Today or tomorrow. @Lady Nerevar: I think inside the city tiling won't be a problem, as the gates are meant to be placed right next to city houses or with only one wall pieces left and right of the gate). If the walls are used for small towns I suppose we could use towers, ivy or trees to break up the tiling. If it does not work, I'll think of something ;-) edit: I think I'll post the first screenshot in the TES-Thread, to keep people interested... edit2: What strategy should we use when it comes to using textures originally made for other mods (and thus in different folders)? Keep the old folders or copy all textures to the "highrock" folder? edit3: Here are the files. Password is the name of a fictional city, with nice city walls ;-) |

All textures should be brought into the "High Rock" folder heirachy, even if you made them for another mod (this is so things are easier to organise, and problems don't arrise if people use mod uninstallers that remove the assets to, which can be problematic if another mod relies on those assets to), this also applies to the meshes
And looking bloody amazing again, that gate section looks excellent! |

Thanks!
Does anyone have a picture of the temple of Kynareth? I was thinking about creating new meshes for that as well, but I'd like to take a look at the original mesh first... |

Quote:Originally posted by mr_siika I would suggest going for something oringinal, something with abit of a Nordic flare (given Daggerfall is Nordic in origin, and likewise with alot of the other cities, giving them an interesting relegious background, having been ruled by the Direnni yet to still retain some of the ancient Nordic beleives), but quite differnt from what you'd see in Cyrodiil. Something with a strong emphasize on light and space, given Kynareth is the god of the wind and sky Having a little trouble finding a pic from daggerfall of the temple, but in reality it wasn't anything special (and that's relative to the rest of what daggerfall looked like), so I think it'll probably best if you just role with what you'd like to model, I've got faith in you that what you model will be awesome! |

Are there any news about the building of Daggerfall? Sorry for asking again, but I'm a little worried that all the time I spent on the meshes will be "lost" if nobody releases the city.
That would be a shame. |

Hi there, perhaps you didn't know, but TOYB has been ill recently (I'm not sure how badly), which explains the lack of progress on this...
