Fast travel is always an issue because its usually split down the middle between people who hate it and people who need it. I agree with the add-on version. But personally I don't "hate" fast travel, I just prefer to ride a horse the long way. And hey, its fun with the portable campsite too, set up camp at night, travel by day. Makes the experience all that more real.

That is the best way around that as far as i can see. So people have a choice use Fast Travel or don't. Should satisfy everybody.

I suppose it is all down to personal preferences in the end. We can't take away something that people may need, and it's the players choice whether or not they use it.

True, and there are mods that disable fast travel on their own.
But it would help to define/show the size of Vvardenfell and it's rugged environments; with fast travel people tend to just rush and not even look around to see what the world has to offer.
The Forgotten Ones have returned.

i dont think you can force someone to appreciate the enviorment. people will have to walk the first time around, so they can look around then.
i rember the dosens of tript i made to the urshilaku in horror. i wish i could have fast traveled instead of wasting 2 hours each way. Mongati HoonDing tiavo; li-mansao einei diang. Cassandra for the memospore era |

again, i dont think MAKING anyone experiance anything is a good idea. a player should be able to make their own choices, and ramind the senery (no mater how putry it may be) down their throats isent a good idea. if people have to walk everywhere they might actualy ignore the nature alltogether and focus only on getting from point A to point B in the fastest amount of time posible. however if they have a choice to fast travel they will be amazed by the purtiness when they come by it first time around (and may want to revisit)

The plan for Skyrim was to disable fast travel by default, but have a plugin that would enable it for those who wanted it. Maybe Vvardenfell could do something similar?
