Quote:Originally posted by cryonaut A very good plan. I also liked Razorwing's plan of going to the satellite forums, such as my home The Drawbridge, to gain publicity. He excited me and a few members over there. And I just happen to like to tell a good story, which is why I signed up, to make quests. Sorry for being off topic. We should see how many levels most buildings have in Cyrodil. We do not want to tower over everything. If there is a fairly constant limit of three floors, we should abide to that. It might mean that structures were only able to support three stories, and four to five stories might seem a bit unrealistic in a world of three stories. |

Quote:Originally posted by cryonaut I always saw it like this. There is alot of coal in the north east states like West Virginia. There is coal in the west, but not as large quantities as in the northeast. Applies to glass and ebony. |

like i said, i'd be willing to bet that there will be a few scattered mines of various kinds in Oblivion. Not to mention the readily (meaning in-game, i suppose) available glass and ebony armor there...

Now that we've had some time to play Oblivion, I'd like to hear some suggestions on where we should put the import shop, who should run it (new character or old one from Morrowind?), what we should include first (the book "On Morrowind" is already in Oblivion so that can definately go in I think), and whether or not we want glass and ebony to be sold there.

and maybe a little museum with it,
i think the shop should be run by maybe the old blade master, he stopped with the blades and set up his own shop to get some money for his old days. |

Hm I don't know about that... it might be better to have a Dunmer as the shop owner...

Dunmer or the cursed ring guy from Seyda Neen that Cryonaut suggested earlier. And the building should be a normal-looking Imperial shop, since the guy running it shouldn't be rich or high-profile enough to import architecture. I don't have the game, so I have no idea where the best place to put it would be, but I'd be partial to the capital just because it's a central location with a lot of foot traffic and probably a lot of multi-ethnic stuff.

Maybe in a beat up shack in the Imperial City waterfront area?
Other than taht I would suggest Chorrol, as there seems to be a lot of open areas in town that could support the shop. And I do not believe that there are any glass/ebony mines in Oblivion. I have not run across any... It seems to be only gold and silver, and most of those are out of commission...and infested with bandits... |

No Fargoth? Hmm. Why not have Fargoth voodoo dolls? Or Fargoth practice dummies? Perfect way to practice your combat skills and release some anger!
Also, would make more sense to have it in Cheydinhal, since it has some Dunmer influences and is relatively close to Morrowind. Chorrol, on the other hand, is on the other side of Cyrodiil. |
