plus the size ratios are different, so in morrowind, an oblivion player would be the size of a house...I think, maybe it's the other way round...

Yup. Oblivion and Morrowind have exactly the same way of treating sizes - based on the point system in 3D Studio Max. That's why I can model something using a TES3 nif as concept and it'll appear the same size in Oblivion.
