Mushroom Textures
Here are the first version of the TX_BC_Mushroom_0x-textures:
BC_Mushroom_01_Diffuse_09b: BC_Mushroom_01_Diffuse_09d: BC_Mushroom_02_Diffuse_01: BC_Mushroom_02_Diffuse_01b: BC_Mushroom_03_Diffuse_03: BC_Mushroom_04_Diffuse_2_06 glow and specular maps are coming with final versions. What do you think? Stilgar |

I think you did a great job on the caps and stem textures! I especially loved the violet coprinus cap (BC_Mushroom_04) and can't wait to see it with a specular map - I imagine it will look nothing short of spectacular. I will of course get right on reworking the mushrooms once I have the final textures.
I liked the alternative "BC_Mushroom_01_Diffuse_09d" better than "BC_Mushroom_01_Diffuse_09b". Regarding the bottom cap texture I liked the alternative "bc_mushroom_02_diffuse_01b" best, because when I tried the first one it looked like the mapping had been stretched due to the many thin vertical striations. The b one looks really good though, but would it be possible to make it a bit lighter? If so I think it would be nigh-on perfect. Were the png files lossless? If not I would really appreciate zipped bitmap copies of the textures.

I use png to keep originals of my textures. Its lossless, supports high bitdepth, and background transparency. and a smaller filesize than a bitmap.

@Razorwing: I've uploaded some bump- and normalmaps for the BC_Mushroom_01: http://stilgar.st.funpic.de/oblivion/Mushrooms/ I think you can made all glow and specular maps from them for the BC_Mushroom_01. Regards Stilgar |

Stilgar: Thanks man, I'll get started on the remapping before long and will get back to the thread with screenshots of how it looks I can't use bumpmaps for Oblivion textures, so you don't have to make more of those. I can use parallax textures though - which look pretty close to bumpmaps, so I'll try some of yours out in that texture slot and see how it goes.
Ghogiel: That's good to know I prefer bitmaps just because it's easy for me to be 100% sure the image is lossless. If it's a transparant texture I'd probably ask for it to be in photoshop format, or skip the whole lossless part of my request and ask for finished dds. But I can definitely work with png files too.

Yes, I know. I mean you can use the bump-maps to made the specular and glow maps with them. I use these bump-maps as masks, bumps ... for the diffuse map. |

Hey Stilgar, would you be able to make quick red variations of the Luminous Russula texture? They're for the quest found here.
If you want, you can even give the red mushroom a new name. Right now I've got "Red Luminous Russula". :] |
