Yes,unfortunantly i have another TES game problem :eek:...

It's a Morrowind save game this time actually.Heres whats wrong

Well i figured my game needed a bit more atmosphere so i downloaded the Seasons mod by Thelys,i install it and when i load up my save game i crash,it happens with ANY new mod i add though,not only that but i can load all the mods together in a NEW game,and i've tried everything.

I've cleaned my save game and mods with Wrye Mash and everything,tried using different ESP's but nothing,i'll post what mods im running though...

Oh and the two errors i get only when i run new mods in my existing save game are pretty mild i think,one is a CM partners barrel script and the one thats a bit worrying is a dragon mod error that says it can find a GLOBAL script... but that only happens when i add a new mod,anything even something simple like ARMOR!

I also got around this problem last time with the wonderfull help of Nerra off the ESF,but doing the method i kinda ''found out'' doesnt even work....

Let me write out my thoughts and you tell me which is correct.


You installed Seasons Mod.
Was this the last mod you installed?

When you activated the Seasons mod with your saved game you experienced a CTD ?

Did you try it starting a New Game?

Whenever you install a new mod you experience a CTD?

Is this something that always happens or is it since you installed the Seasons Mod?

Lets start with that and I'll do my best to help

It could be happening because you have uninstalled a mod that your savegame is dependant on.

Have you uininstalled any dragon mods recently eg Reign of Fire ?

OK,well yes with WHATEVER new mod i try to run with my original save game i crash,BUT i dont crash when starting a new game and starting the mods,its really weird im usually good with this stuff too..

And it happened last time but then i clicked JUST FIX IT! via TESTOOL and i tried again,but still didnt work... i have no idea what else i can do...

And no Slartibartfast i havnt uninstalled a mod that my save game relies on.

Again they all work with a new save game,i cant stress this fact out enough...

I've never used the Seasons mod so this is just a shot in the dark

I know it runs basically all script and requires lots of CPU and lots of RAM

I don't know how much exactly

also using the FPS optimizer with this mod would probably help.

It doesn't look like you have any other mods that might effect the wheather conditions, but its always posible their is a conflict amongst that group of mods.

Did you

Wrye Mash it ??
(a must when adding new mods to your saved game file)

adding new mods in a saved game is never the best choice, but it can be done


I'll look into it a bit more and see what I can find out.

No i have a few mods i try to run that CTD me NOT only the Seasons Mod


And i dont think its my FPS as i can start a new game with all my mods without a problem...


And yes my first post says i Wrye Mashed it,but im a bit newby when it comes to Wrye Mash,maybe you can give me specific details on what to do?

If they all work with a new game.

So your not having a conflict in your load order, which is good.


But your saved game files crash.

Then a "dirty save" is my choice and theirs not alot you can do about that


Try this:

Remove the Seasons Mod, go into Wrye Mash and Click the Saves Tab Click your last saved game and verify all the mods listed on the right side are blue or green, if they are then close wrye mash and attempt loading your saved game, load the most recent, then try an older save.



Another thing I noticed is the Seasons Mod uses a windows extractor

re-install it by extracting the files to your desktop and then manually moving the files into your morrowind directory

Well if you've allready gone through the Wrye Mash process
and your sure that your mods are all clean.

Did you check your mods for conflict using TESPCD ?


If so


then I will sadly have to say yes.

Thiers really not much that can be done about a dirty save, its happened to me numbers upon numbers of times, I have learnt to always keep many save game files (not autosave) those are usually the ones that get corrupted and anything after that is corrupted as well !

Wish their was more I could tell you but without actually seeing your set- up that really all I can think of.

Maybe some other info will come along. So don't delete your current save, but yes start fresh...

Well if i said i done alot in the game i would be lying... all i had done was destroy Dagoth Ur then travel to tribunal for a bit,got bored then left for LoKKen,so close to completing LoKKen too...

Ahh well,im gonna stock up like crazy on mods THEN start a new game

And yeah bob im positive none of my mods conflict,i usually make sure of that,but just for a heads up... will Vampire Embrace conflict with any mods i have on me now?

Oh and can you recommend anything
