I tink Steinaech is looking for some models for Kedal. I'm with you on the idea thing; I need at least concept art to start with.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to photograph what my inner eye sees sometimes... But I can usually keep a simple shape in memory while I model it (like a tower), and once that's done I just take it from there and try to think of additions that would look good (like a window). Quote:Originally posted by demonpower20 Perhaps you'd like to try modelling an overhang? We could definitely need more of those, and the ones we have were modelled in Blender (by Caligula Superfly) so it's definitely possible. I've attached one from TES3 for reference in case you're interested. I converted it to an Oblivion nif to make it easier to view. The types already in the mod are in Meshes\ST and called DunmerAwning##.nif if you'd like to check them out.

Quote:Originally posted by demonpower20 Cool No, I don't think so. They were used to cover containers in towns, or just for decoration in numerous inhabited caves. They're a godsend when decorating towns. Absolutely, if they differ from the originals that's just a plus, as long as they keep the overall design. Looking forward to seeing your results! Oh, and if you supply it as an .obj I'd be much obligued for a .mtl to go with it, so I won't need to remake the texture mapping.

I suck at UV mapping though, if you wanted i could spare you a horrid map and just give u the file, but i can try to map it when i make it though to save you time. |

You can't go very far as a modeller without knowing how to set up textures, so you'd have to learn it sooner or later if you see modelling as a steady hobby. Good luck!
