Thanks Koniption but I had a change of heart and felt that this texture should look okay so I went ahead and completed the interior tileset. So this is now done except for miscellaneous objects and anything that is the equivalent of 'rootplants'.
As mentioned to Koniption in a PM, I will use existing models such as the pods and amber roots for most of these but it might help to consider what type of intestinal, gland-like things you would find in here. One thought I had was a semi-transparent blister or pustule that could be attached to walls (yuck!). I could probably use Senten's mushroom as some of the SI mushrooms are used inside rootcaves and this worm is very dead =). Koniption is taking a thoroughly deserved break for a while but please offer your suggestions as to what stinking foulness might be observed inside this dead creature.

Quote:Originally posted by Ibsen's Ghost Eww! Yuck! Pus-filled blisters! Actually, I really like that idea. How about this: Make some semi-transparent pustules with a yellow to yellow-green filling in the center (the pus). I can animate such things to pulse in and out, maybe even separate versions that explode if the player touches them or gets too close. I won't do this now, but can work on it once my modding vacation is over. What do you think? Koniption
Yeah, don't let those little turds get you down. Dingleberries stick for a while, but eventually they fall off.

It lives!!!! It wriggles!! The living rootworm just outside of Rockguard....and probably the first dead rootworm you will see in the BM not far from Sloughpoint.....possible ideas are to have the dead rootworm's jaws propped open and to have dead hunters lying around it after the battle.....

Cool beans!
Btw, you don't want NPC's to be in the mouth of the living, animated worm. It'd be hard for them to effectively do anything, like fight, or walk around in there (though one's player character would be just fine). But if that NPC is in that mouth for scale purposes only, then that's cool. The rootworm NPC guide should stand beside the worm where he won't be pushed around by the swinging head, and should probably be Argonian, since they are the race who tamed the beasts (I think). Have you heard anything more on the scripting for the animated worm? Is the scripter gonna try to use the trigger collision in the back of the throat that I have set up in that animated rootworm's nif, so that the player has to jump into the mouth and go to the back of the throat, in order to start the load screen to their destination, after talking to the guide? Just for scale purposes  .
I haven't yet PM'd SACarrow who would be my first point of contact on scripting matters. I will do it soon though.

Almost forgot:
If you have dead hunters laying around the dead rootworm, they should also be similarly rotten or decomposed, or maybe be just skeletons. If the rootworm decomposes much more slowly than other types of creatures, then other creatures/races should be even more decomposed. But if there are meat-eating scavenger creatures living inside and eating the stuff inside the dead rootworm, then maybe fresh corpses can be explained by those scavengers having attacked the hunters outside/inside the rootworm. Indeed. The thought had crossed my mind over what type of 'scavengers' might exist in there. Chances are they'd be pretty nasty..... X(.......
Edit - I just visited the rootworms in-game. Goddamn! They're soooo good. Looky here. The live rootworm sways its head and you must jump into its mouth! I can't even begin to tell you how cool it looks in-game but suffice to say that the game-travel script is on its way. Koniption has really excelled herself here....and I experienced zero technical faults....in fact, the little bit of 'jostling' inside the mouth just adds to the effect...astounding work! :bananarock: On a negative note, I'm going to need someone to sort out my interior tileset textures for use in interior locations. Just like the cave entrance I created for Tenmar Wall, everything is black inside the belly of the worm! Sachiel helped out last time so I'm hoping he can do his magic again. Once I get some of this stuff sorted then I can send out the new archive updates and get the latest files merged.
