Hmm, I see your point. There was a similar post wondering about KotN, which was rejected there anyways, but we saw how that expansion turned out. We know for a fact there are indeed new spells and animations, also new armor, and a Golden Saint which looks rather nice, even if the face isn't covered by a mask. This will be a mod similar to BM and Trib, at least that's what's publicised.
Things included: New Spells New Animations New Trees New Creatures New Morrowind-Style Clutter New UNIQUE Dialogue for Every NPC (means every one has a different voice) New Possibility for Retextures* New Models Sheogorath, he's cool enough to be special  *There may be legal issues with releasing a retextured model for free, but so long as we use the default models already in SI they will make no use of them.
Lol what?

what I am MOST interested in is the new animations and models which can be fixed up for use in both Vvar and BM...
otherwise I'd hate to be reliant on the expansion  |

What about the big guy with a sword for a handin the videos? He had unique animations, and I think they're probably really cool. There were also spiders and a weird guy who does karate kung fu stuff. The weird guy I think Black Marsh could use best, as I saw discussions there about using martial arts in Argonia.
Lol what?

Re:
Yes, I think it would be a great idea for the Shivering Isles assets to be necessary for this mod. The expansion already features lots of Morrowind inspired stuff like the Golden Saints/Hunger/Dark Seducers and the giant mushrooms and other architecture, it would lessen the workload for this mod and it already looks great in the expansion pack!
Besides, most Oblivion fans will have the Shivering Isles also.
What if...girls weren't picky?

There is currently problems with Modding SI, the new CS has been recalled and the patch just messes things up. This would provide a big challenge when it comes to modding.

Not nearly as much work as making all those models and creatures from scratch.
The new creatures alone are well worth the effort.

We have to be dependent because of how the expansion pack works, it uses a dummy .esp called "DLCShiveringIsles.esp" (or something like that), but everything actually added in the expansion is in the Oblivion.esm now.
We don't really even have a choice... |
