So how about we create Morrowind?
The title might have confused you, but I'm serious. I really don't regret all the ideas going on in these forums, but I think we should create morrowind as it was: quarantined from the outer world; a wilderness of rare species and small, unrelated towns. No need for big businuss as everything is as it should be. Morrowind consists of many small businusses and towns, they can live on their own.
Like this port in Balmora, I heard some ideas were going to create a thriving city: got rich from trading over the odai river which they expanded into a bigger one, movable bridges (whatever they're called). I remember Balmora like this: Not much activity except in the south wall inn, guilds and great house. Though it was charming, the brown housing and everything seemed to go in that way like it had been going for ages and ages. No need to change that and so for everything Remember: We're still creating Morrowind

i wouldn't mind changes like that as long as theres a good reason behind it, i.e. it helps explain the main storyline.

you do realize that in game in TES3 they were not able to actually make it seem bustling....
did Gnisis seem like a regional trade city? no... but in lore it was.... Balmora was a trade city though it did not seem like it... plus, times change |

ok, your right, your right, and this thread was only created to make sure we don't overdo these changes, of course things changed but not everything needs to be changed

depends what you mean
if you mean progression of if you mean realism or both see some of the ashlander tribes should've been bigger... if we do that, wouldn't that be a change? (realism) but if you say some of the ashlander tribes should have a population boom (progression) so we need to find ways that will reflec progression and realism |

A long as it feels like morrowind, however, with too much changed, it will be very hard to get that feeling

Balmora was empty because the game couldn't handle tons of npcs at once. The amount of npcs won't change the feeling of the mod. People made mods that added more npcs to fix the underpopulation in major cities. We don't want a trade city to be a ghost town
