Two updates, altered the original textures and have done interior of MC house.

Exterior and loer interior of mages guild is done. The tower on top of the mages guild aslo comes as a standalone model with interior, for use as one person LC houses and to extend MC houses.

No. I was thinking in terms of the sheer size of the internet. In which case, living near Middlesbrough is uncannily close to York on such a scale. However, my family history traces itself back to York. Although many claim such a thing as this, I believe that I have a strong case for believing myself to be descended from Viking invaders on account of my surname which may have developed from Nordic origins. It's also my favourite city in the world, I went to University at St. Johns and I worked there about two years ago!

Some of the middle class tileset is complete (plus city walls and gate). This means that construction of the city walls can begin as can the middle class district.

Middle Class District:

I see there being 4-5 of the standard house, some with the tower extension (it goes on top ) and 1-3 of the large houses. I suggest 2, one for the mages guild and another as a mansion of a minor lord or something?

City walls are fairly self explanatory. If someone could landscape to give the city three tiers that would also be very cool.

P.S. I have released this now because I'm not sure when I'll next have a chance to do some serious modelling, so I thought it better you have something to play with rather than nothing.

EDIT: currently the Chorrol middle class door is to be used in... doorways... May do a retex at some point...

Sounds awesome! Tilesets are absolutely invaluable. Your suggestions sound highly appropriate to me.

That shouldn't be too hard. I could manage that myself but how would you cope with the city walls if it was landscaped? Would the city walls slope upwards or stay the same? And perhaps a Bruma-style set of platforms could be used that effectively 'walled in' the upper tiers but was made of some cruder material...? Likewise, an encircling harbour area...?

In fact, you might go for a 'mott and bailey' style like the attached but with another tier or two. Personally, I would love to see a combination of the other two attached pics of towns near me, Staithes and Whitby. They have some fabulous, winding, sloping paths up to the higher tiers with cobbled stones but you might have to create a crammed effect with the houses and thereby create lots of interior claims in order to get the right sort of effect. Perhaps some shack-type dwellings near the sea level would work best as well. It all depends on what we have available...I wonder if SACarrow from ST would be willing to allow us to adapt his 'shack' tileset.

btw, I just checked out the new Kothringi tileset in-game. It looks awesome (albeit rather small...?)!

However, I always have problems getting textures to appear in-game for some reason. With this, I just put the folders into the correct places in the Data folder and dragged over the nif files into the object window but it left me with un-textured, purple models. Am I missing something here? Indeed, various things like parts of the RockGrove textures, for example, show the same error. Is there something I'm missing?

the .nifs should be moved to the appropriate directory (data/meshes/etc.). other than that i cant think of anything that would cause this :/

can you post a screenshot to show what you mean by the size issues (a person nearby for reference would be nice)? I used stock oblivion models for scale so there may be a problem with the export :/

I'm swamped with work as well.... :poorme:....otherwise, I would be able to perform the little bit of extra modding that sandor needs me to do on the mod in order to finalise the region editing....bah!

did you try moving the models themselves to file directories corresponding to the texture paths?

Other than that I can't think of anything that would be causing the pinkness.

Size-wise, is it all the models that are too small? They look aproximately half-size, but I need to know if there any (including interiors) that are already the correct size (i really don't understand how this happened, I used original oblivion models for scale...).

Anyway, I'll find some time to re-export them but scaled up to be twice the size.

Also, would like to say I'm not sure when I can do the rest of this tileset, (and judging by various exam timetables, it may not be till the summer that i have any real time to sit down and create quality models once more)

Still, areas of the slums and ports can be done with vanilla models.

EDIT: actually, looking @ the blend files, i tihkni must have scaled some down to make them easier to work with and forgot to scale them back up. Should have this sorted by the end of the day (will pm core+deeza with files )

I'm begrudgingly seeking help with the texture issue as it's getting in the way of me doing things that will advance the cause of the jungle regions: Getting textures to show .
