You can delete one lot of textures from a cell, allowing you to go back with another texture. But yeah, really you should only be region gen'ing with 3-4 textures for each region.

Yes, but how can you actually get rid of one of the landscape types? I tried painting over with "none" but couldn't seem to actually clear the used slot. I guess it could be done in Gecko but it'll be nasty.
I plan to avoid having to do it, of course, but it'd be good to know if there is a way in case we run out of slots in a blending region or something.

Final Preset
Here are a few screenies of a complete run for the Tenmar preset - which is now essentially finished.
Tenmar forest is stratified, with light rainforest at the top, from around 10000 units up, with dense rainforest on the steep slopes below this, giving way to lighter coastal vegetation and - where the slope allows - beach. The dense rainforest needs more trees, but I had to strike a balance in the preset between trees and understorey / forest floor interest. There's plenty to look at anyway. This is all one preset, which knocks out about 300 cells of this stuff overnight. I think the final run of the whole game area will be possible in two overnight runs - once I've finished the rest of the presets. Where's a "drool" smiley when you need it???
I guess this will do instead: :bananarock: Koniption
Yeah, don't let those little turds get you down. Dingleberries stick for a while, but eventually they fall off.

Thanks guys!
I'm just hoping I can put enough variety into Elsweyr's various presets that a competent landscaper can tear through them cleaning the floaters and jaggies in fairly short order. I'll be posting a list of claims up here as soon as the generation is completed. Hopefully in the next week or so.

Fantastic pictures. I hadn't seen these before but great work. Are you generating them yourself or will you still need my assistance?

Thanks, Deeza.
I'm generating them myself: region generation only uses one cpu and doesn't use the graphics card so it's all about RAM and clock speed. I think my PC has enough of both to get by so I think I'm OK - I ran the Distant land in four 48 x 32-cell sections over Christmas. Thanks for the offer, though.
