Quote:Originally posted by Sanpicture It's an expression used by those who understand ES lore, when they see ES Lore untastefully handled, in a way that contradicts all that is known of ES Lore. When making quests, always take into account a certain amount of realism, and appreciation of current Lore (This comming from a person who has drafted 50+ quests for various projects amongst the ES community, so I know what I'm talking about ). Start out with designing smallish quests, like a farmer needs some seeds to plant his crops for the year, but can't make it to X town, and so on. |

I see, you're right.
But I didn't mend to make any quest for the fourth age. Just the quest I had in mind that I told the first reply. I know it's quest is big, but I don't think it will be impossible for anyone to make it. I know what you mean, it will be a lot work for one, or more persons, but it was just a thought I liked to share. Bye, Sanpicture

If you're the expert you say to be, be constructive and help Sanpicture to change the concept.

I think it's an interesting idea, and I bet it would turn out to be a really cool quest. If you can make it fit into official lore I don't have any problems with it. I don't know if it can fit, but then again I'm not versed in the finer points of lore so I won't get in the middle of that. But generally... if Oblivion can have painted worlds and dreamworlds and what-not, I'm sure a lore wizard can think up a plausible explanation (maybe with a few tweaks to the idea).

If you're trying to help, then start off by being respectful to others and by giving them useful direction. I hardly consider a single-line comment like "lore rape" constructive in any way. |
