Wow...rock and roll...
1) I used the word "parked" in the meaning of "put in the way it is now" 2) Not only the khajiit look at the moons...i cannot just tell my team that Massar is now a khajiit (you gotta see that nord...) 3) WOW...marry me...gonna live near Corinth and raise kittens...i'm old...but i'm half-god...think about it :lmao: P.S. Gonna read yer post again tomorrow, cause i can't think straight at the moment...

I was thinking maybe the lattice is Lorkaj's nervous system - but if it is a gift from Azurah then I will have to rethink ... thunk, thunk, thunk ...
grrrk cccreaak, thud But maybe the lattice is the non-physical aspect of his nervous system - as in the electicity and the message rather than the wire? There has to be something about it that would affect the Khajiit and esp their dna / chemistry / information - and what beter tan an information system? Another possibility would be the synapses of Larkaj's brain / mind? Reason I am trying to pin this to a comparatively simple analogy is that once the concept is there we can have characters play around the fact with their experiences, observations and beliefs. Plus we can then extrapolate and add powers is a 'mystical' and such in a way that it has a deeper feel to it. True, some characters will be way off the mark, but there should be others with an inkling ... As for the Lore side of it, we are experimenting - so if we are going to be wrong it should at least have structure enough that what we do will gain credibility as an interesting heresy. edit: interesting point occurs R'Harresh - mating habits and family structures = do any of the Khajiit have harems etc - as in a Pride of Lions - are they all benign in their romantic practices (leopards couple through a form of rape) etc also it seems that some of them litter - multiple birth, so how does that work?
Because loyalty is not to be spoken of and honour is to be endured. Whilst courage is to be survived. These virtues belong to silence.

One thing to keep in mind with the Khajiit and the lattice, is that any kind of Khajiit can give birth to any other kind of Khajiit, (like an Alfiq having a Senche) as the kits are born small (like a newborn housecat kitten) and quickly grow into their form over the next few weeks.
from this i have drawn the conclusion that all Khajiit DNA is the same. they all have the potential to become any of the "breeds", but the lattice influences which genes are expressed at the time of birth, and this is not reset over the course of the Khajiits life. the lattice would not affect sex determination, as i suspect that like normal housecats, they have an XY based method. So for each "breed" of Khajiit, a specific subset of genes is activated at birth, whilst the others remain deactivated. (Yeah lots of thinky bits, but this is what i want to do for a living) An interesting idea about the lattice being an information system. the electricity and the message seems plausible. Massar, SEcunda and the Mane could all act like conduits for this information. Perhaps if they ever left Nirn permanently the Khajiit could become unbound, and only one variety (a default form) would be produced as such. Now because the Khajiiti economy is based on having so many varieties for a large array of jobs, their economy would collapse with only one variety, and Elsweyr as we know it would fall. As for the khajiit mating practices, I'd say the smaller quadrupedal varieties (like the Alfiq and Alfiq-raht) would behave more like housecats, mating with more than one partner (although their might be size constraints, as it would be rather difficult for a Senche-raht to mate with an Alfiq). As the variety gets larger they generally would become more likely to be monogamous. However remember that Khajiiti society is divided into the settled people and the tribal folk. I'd say the Tribal Khajiit would more likely function like a lion pride, with one or two breeding males, a few subordinate males and a fair number of females. The settled Khajiit would see this as more uncouth, and therefore resort to monogamy, though their promiscuous tendencies could lead to a few sticky situations, which we could play on when writing misc quests for the cities. For example the daggerfall book: Jokes, contains a joke about a khajiiti man making love to a khajiiti woman while her mother watched. this implies that Khajiit are not only promiscuous but are reasonable open on the subject.

As long as there are biological mechanisms of becoming a werewolf...well...the khajiit are werecats, aren't they? This gives me an idea, that Secunda listened to what he should do and done it how he wanted it Jode started it all, because he was the "chaotic one". And NOW i don't exactly get it...are you having a scientific discussion of the khajiiti physiology?

Anything not macroscopic, is speculaiton here. We don't even know if there are microscopic properties to nirn, we really have to rely on the duality. A lot.

Well...my team's got two brilliant ideologists (we even thought of putting them in an asylum...). So...please state a question. I'm sure those guys can think of ANYTHING in TES.
The only thing the team lacks is someone who uses the construction set... About the duality here...that's exactly why Massar isn't a khajiit. Jone is what you'd call...strange He's a wise nord following Akatosh's directions. Secunda, on the contrary, is a khajiit, short tempered and a never-do-right. He fulfills his duty, but follows a philosophy of "exitus acta probat" (forgive the latin, i just don't have a proper translation...).

What's interesting about this discussion is, if we tried to quantify it all into a zero sum game while in tamriel, we'd go mad.
