Thoughts on the variants of Khajiit.
Sorry for multiple posts...:> I can put them in one post, but I figured it was probably easier to read and keep track of different ideas wether then shoving them all into one big post.
But one thought I had about the Khajiit is untill we can add new models if we ever can, how about making placeholder races for the various types. It wouldn't look perfect, but it allow for adding them to the game. FOr the non anthro Khajiit you could use the mountain lion model with new textures. For the anthro feline like, you could use the base graphics for Khajiit with new textures. and of course for the elven you could use Bosomer or other elvens as templates and give face paint. This would of course hopefully be temporary as it wouldn't look perfect, but this way you could see how they interact have them in various places in the province. One question I have...would you add at least some variants to the other provinces and Cyrodil? It's always bothered me that in Morrowing/Oblivion you only see one race. Sure the lore says only they usually leave...but wouldn't the Khajiit still have cubs in other provinces? Or is there something in the lore that they return to Elsweyr for that? |

Also will there be any chance of making the non anthro Khajiit playable some how? Or even have the Pahmer/Senche as mounts?

Agreed on that there need to be non-Suthay Khajiit outside of Elsweyr. In fact, I recommend that Arsonide give these models to other teams doing provinces, so that they'll exist across Tamriel...

Oh...one silly thought I had...that just HAS to be in the game if they add other variants of Khajiit to other provinces is a old funny quest/incident I thought of having.
The player heads into a house where the Khajiit that lives there has TONS of 'cats' all around the place, and have the player get a option to ask about the cats...:> And of course insults the Khajiit when she informs the player that it's her children...:> Or maybe a quest to find out about the crazy cat lady, who you find is just having a daycare center for Khajiit parents who's cubs are ALiq..:> |

Yesterday after you suggested this, I (for kicks), just went into a horse and changed his model to a mountain lion model. Once I got in game I couldn't mount it, he'd start to swing his leg over but then stop abruptly. Also the horses were invisible but apparently short, as I had to look down to get the horseshoe icon.
I started fighting with the miniature invisible horse lions and grew tired of the (slightly humorous) situation and went back to working on the region settings for the heightmap. |

if it is possible to somehow implement a system like TES3 character generation.... it might be easier... though more limited
that way the player choses from several given templates... maybe after they chose their race a thing can pop up asking if they want to be a Cathay-raht or whatever |

Or just have at the start the various Khajiit to chose from. Have lik Khajiit-ohmes, Khajiit-senche Khajiit-Ohmes raht and such as choices.

The problem with that is that people may get annoyed with the mod and not want to load it if their character creation screen is cluttered up with 19 additional races on top of the Suthay Khajiit. I think the best idea would to be go along with KuKulzA and have a "Select Form" box pop up after you choose the Khajiit race.

Except that not every Khajiit form have the same stats, the smaller ones like Dagi would probably be not as strong but more agile.
