Which projects are playable so far?

Let's be honest here guys.
Once the landmass is in place = heightmap you can move around - but that is not playing a game. We are creating an playing area for each mod that is respectable in comparison to Morrowind or Oblivion. That would cost what? Maybe $100,000,000 each mod to do commercially? And we are a community of allsorts - amateurs, absolute beginners, company owners, professional project managers, professors (RL) and so on ... all working on our own time ... when RL allows us. Don't expect deadlines, or to the minute predictions of release dates - just know that we are getting there byte by byte, and we will let everyone know when we arrive! Don't be patient - enjoy other stuff if you don't want to contribute here - but keep us on your checklist.
Because loyalty is not to be spoken of and honour is to be endured. Whilst courage is to be survived. These virtues belong to silence.

Quote:Originally posted by Wolvman Basically, it is all WiP, with a lot of data taken out for modding purposes (data that gets added back in for the next release), at least that's how I think it works. There are technical reasons not to use the modding ESM's for playing, so if you are a mod player (or both modder and player), then just wait for the next public release. |

Ah, well it's a good thing you wrote that when you did becuase I was about to download the newest version which I think was a work in progress still. Who knows what would have went wrong with my game. Oh well, I guess I have to wait for the next public release then if I want the new stuff in it playable.

I download all the files, though i am modding but i had a play and it worked fine, i didn't see anything wrong with my game and played for a good while. Lots of Exploration. Thogh i did use the esm from the latest release and not the modding esm.

Quote:Originally posted by Wolvman Oh, I'm sure it wouldn't have hurt your game, but it wouldn't have been much fun to play the internal version because we've torn up a lot of stuff and moved it about. When the dust settles the mod'll be better, but right now the public release from December works best for players.

Oh, well thats the one I'm using. I can't wait to see some Silgrad Tower creatures in there. What exactly will be different from Vvardenfell's creatures anyways. I know it's a different region but it's still in Morrowind's province right?

Not that I know off, a real release will take months, possible even a year for any project except Skyrim maybe.
