Well I think the Imperial City would be a better place to have the ship dock, as it would probably have Dunmer diplomats and officials comming off the ship to converse with the Elder Council about the death of the imperior, etc.

Can't just we use scripts to transport the player, disable the controls, and then make things happen in front of him? That would reduce the animation work and skill required. |

whatever ends up being the most feasible and best way to do it...
but I feel that the Siege of Ald-ruhn should be a part of the opening scene, something very similar to Seyda Neen beginning of TES3, and a dream or something where Vivec says "welcome home outlander" |

Hmmm i very much like but vivic is missing. I recall hearing that from Oblivion's NPCs. Perhaps he just went off into an Oblivion Gate or something and now he is back or he sent the letter before his "disapperence"?

Quote:Originally posted by OblivionMon Yeah, I'm not sure what TES4:VV has planned for Vivec anymore. They did have plans to have the player rescue him, but now I have no idea. I've always thought that it would be best if Vivec just remained missing, since different players did different things to him. Some (if not most, from what I've been hearing) players killed him, while others just let him live. Same with Trebonius, since I've killed him in every game I've played. Kukulza's stance seems to be to make it as if the player in TESIII did nothing but what was required in the main quest. Bethesda's stance is usualy to just leave it as an uncertainty (like making Vivec missing, saying that there were 8 numidiums involved in the Warp of the West, etc). That way, the history that the player made in TESIII can remain the true history, no matter what the player did (unless he just murdered everyone ), but I think the general stance of the people at ST was to bring Vivec back.

I love the idea and would definantlally be possible!! For all who critisize the idea of a video, it doesnt have to be there by the first release, i guess, but can always be added into the project, so lets not consider that an issue. as for the welcome to Vvardenfell instead of welcome back, is a bit up to the creator, but it would make a wierd kind of sense to have a player who played morrowind before to hear welcome back.
As for script intensive, I doubt, it would be that hard, just time consuming, but possible. My only isue i see is what Vivecs voice will sound like, I know it sounds like not an issue, but you have to find the perfect voice to portray one of the top 3 important characters in this mod, he has to have the perfect voice. Thats of course if you intend to voice act. Overall, the idea is beautiful and really well thought out, you have my blessings.

well all I heard from Vivec was a weird bansheeish growl when i attacked him...
but I wouldn't mind voice acting his voice but I dunno, I might not have the right voice |

How about we use the voice for vivec that was added in that mod. That's what I imagine him as. I'm pretty sure the demonic growl is the default growl for creatures.
Lol what?
