3d Studio Max for free you say? Asides from the trial you can get, I know nothing of this sort.
Honest.

I'm fine with the Blender. I just can't seem to import anything into
the game properly... Otherwise, I might be able to do something than
textures!

I don't know much about Blender but I know you can export as an .obj,
which means you can either use NifSkope to get it in-game or just give
it to someone else to do

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. One of these days, I'll have a couple of free hours (I hope) and figure the thing out.

Another idea for the antlered skeletons could be a name like
"Yggdraugr," which would be the basic equivalent of "Terrible corpse."
Might give it more of a Skyrim feel to have an Old Norse-esque name.

I think that no matter the way Falmer vanished there would still be
ghosts to haunt the ruins of their civilization. Remember that most of
the warrior cast died in battle with the Nords, like the Snow Prince.

Whether the Falmer still exist or not doesn't really have much bearing
on the fact that there were some that died, and could've become ghosts.
Dwarven spectres, anyone? They exist even if the dwemer vanished, otherwise.

I'm not saying if we should or not include the Falmer, I'm just saying
that we use the word"Elven" instead as it lets the PC decide if the
where a seperate race of elves or they where just Ayleid, Because if
the Falmer did exist they would still be elves...

Well for most there is little doubt of their existence, but that's not
a bad idea, maybe they were not different enough to qualify as a
separate race.

We also can't be sure that the Falmer aren't just Rieklings.

True, but I doubt many would like the idea of the Falmer being just
Rieklings. And you also have all those stories about battles between
the Nords and the Falmer... and the legend of the Snow Prince. I think
the Falmer are too cool (no pun intended) as a race to be just some annoying little buggers.

But thats the thing, we can't be bias about this, we can't call them
Falmer or Rieklings, however as a lore friendly way of doing it we can
call them "Elven Ghost" or "Elven Spectre", and place them in Ice
ruins(Falmer ruins). That way all partys are happy and the Lore is
upheld

Dig into the back of the forum to find the Falmer Discussion Thread. There were
Falmer, what exactly they were is open to debate, and plays a heavy
role in the Mages Guild Questlines. All that is known is there were
pale blue elves in Skyrim, they battled the Nords, Rieklings are
somehow related to them, and as a race they are extinct. |

Extinct or simply hidden. After all, they were (maybe?) in Shadowkey,
which wasn't that long ago in the timeline. Unfortunatley they were
hostile so you couldn't very well be all "Why hello there, are you a
falmer?"
At any rate, the Falmer clearly DID exist as actual mer, and as such, I
can't see any conceivable problem with listing the ghosts as 'falmer
ghosts.' The Riekling theory involves them becoming rieklings over
time, last I checked, not that they always were.

The Riekling theory actually involves magic, it was proposed near the
end of the thread I think. The ghosts will be listed as Falmer. You
will meet a few Falmer hidden around Skyrim.

I'm excited to hear that!
I'd love to meet some that have more than a few dozen polygons... And
maybe even some that don't want to kill me. I was referring to the
Riekling theory I've heard though, which was simply that over time they
became the rieklings. Wasn't aware ya'll'd discussed another one.

Well, these could be ghosts from before they evolved (/de-evolved?) or whatever happened to them.

The alternative theory is that the Falmer discovered a spell that could
transform them into supermer, and they used it to deadly effect against
the Nords. However if one stayed in the form for to long when they
changed back they wouldn't be restored to their former Falmer bodies,
but became miniature, stupid blue creatures. (wink wink nod nod)
There will be Riekling and Falmer companions in the Skyrim Mainquest.

Just on another note, When everyone was debating on how to make the
skeleton to fly, or give the appearance of floating, wouldn't it be
possible to incorporate this mod:
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index...howtopic=506256
to effect the skeletons, so that it gives the effect yu are looking
for? I have NO experience in modding, so I have no clue if this would
work, Or if it is just stupid and would make the skeletons look
retarded?? It's just an idea...

I was just thinking, since yaks are more of an asian animal(in RW), we
could instead use the name "Highland Cattle" as they would be more
suited to the invironment and culture, and are basically the same as
yaks in terms of looks. Though I still disagree with being able to ride
them, that's what horses are for
and remember just because we can, doesn't mean we should

I agree, but Yak just sounds better. Maybe we should come up with a original name of our own.
