20 mb esp limitation

Thats right, It was written in Java and was designed only for smaller Plug-Ins. It cannot Merge Larger Plug-Ins and he said he doesnt plan on having that in the near future. That may be due to a Java limitation.

He has a thread in the Official Forums where a few others have also encountered this problem.

Do we have the same item ID limitation in our esm's? If we build a heightmap, land textures, clutter (trees, rocks, city walls, maybe creatures), etc., into the esm and have child esps for int's we might be able to get around the limit at least for the short term.

Also, if we keep our esp's small, what limitations will we encounter as we merge them into an ever-growing esm with ScripterRon's program? (I played with his earlier versions - guess I really should get the latest one and see where it breaks.)

You can have even the smallest ESP, but it will do you no good when the ESM becomes too large you see.

If any of them are too large, ESP or ESM, it cant be merged anyway.

Bummer. Was just over at ES, and it looks like ScripterRon might be having some success, so I asked pretty much the same question over there. There has just GOT to be a way to work this!

Sir, YOu do not know what you are talking about, Esps may interact with eachother so long as they are edited with the other one open, thus creating compatibility.

Well, the files on my server may be over 20MB, but you will still be able to d/l it with no problem. It's a fast server as well so it may take time but you'll get the file.

Seconded. The cannons and military bases on the island I grew up on serves as a reminder of the decades my country spent living in the looming shadow of that despicable country. They murdered far more people than the Nazis did... and it feels like pure luck they didn't invade us. Who knows how many of us they would have murdered then.

I will certainly change it, I did not mean it as a representation of the Soviet Union, but as the pure form of communism, I meant no offense, I will change it to something with the same meaning, but less provocative.

Back on topic: I just used ScripterRon's latest program and changed my esp to an esm. When I booted up Oblivion, I couldn't move and fell through the ground to my death. Ouch! Tried 4 different saves, all with the same result. X( Tomorrow, I'll try it with a new character and see if I can figure out what went wrong. ?(
