@ Afrobent: I checked out your cave for a short while, before the computer crashed. I need to update the graphics driver so it's not caused by your cave. I've fiddled with the light and contrast on the screenshots to make them easier to view.
The first thing I noticed was that on the exterior model there's a gap between the door and the "mound". Second, I noticed that the leafs of the slough ferns stick into the ground in many places. You might solve that by making the slough ferns smaller, which imho also makes them look better graphically. Third, and you're not going to like this one, but I think you should use the mudcave tile set instead of the rock cave for this cave. For instance mudcave is very suitable for a Bitter Coast region, and it would make more sense to have things growing in the cave if the ground wasn't made of rock. Fourth, you might want to add some ninja monkeys to the cave to make it even more interesting to play But all in all, from what I saw, great job! :goodjob: @ Quentin: Just to clarify, this isn't a bugreport for Silgrad Tower as the cave isn't in it yet.

The lighting would have to be tweaked all over again. You're too rational, Razorwing! You are a boundary for my inspiration. Art is not remade, it happens and consists!!! *runs off weeping* (jk) I'll consider this, and try it out. If I find it to be something I don't want it to be, then f?k it, but should your idea be okay or even fair, I'll let you know. Friday till Sunday (the week after the friday) I won't be at home, so don't count on any pics of a revised cave... But some rainy day of july might pay off. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it How did the falls hit your machinery? That vapor tend to cut down fps' pretty brutally :S

Whether one agrees with my opinion or not, a general suggestion is to bring it up to par and not leave it up to others to fix it afterwards, because that's not something one would want this late in the development of ST:Morrowind.

I have thought about the changing of tileset. It would be a huge work replacing _every_ _single_ rock in the cave. I would never want to work with my cave again. Sorry, but it remains lavacave. And besides, I like it as it is
Ed.Rw: Admittedly the mudcave suggestion was the least important one from my angle. It has more to do with personal taste than anything else. I'll make a proper run through the cave after I get the updated drivers.

Playtesting run II
In the "lobby" it is very easy to fall down in the middle of the path, and I'd think the player misses some great sights by travelling on the floor. Perhaps you could make the raised rocky pathways a little wider (i.e. increase the scale of those references), to make it harder for the player to fall down?
1 - I got stuck under the rock. royalblue
2 - The moss joins badly with the ceiling royalblue
3&4 - The texture of this crystal flickers depending on what angle you look at it. royalblue
5 - There's a flickering effect here. This is very common when you place two slough ferns close together. It's almost impossible to do that *without* getting a flicker effect. royalblue
6&7 - Albeit looking out over the endless ocean gives a wondrous and surreal feeling... I think you forgot to close these holes. I was also unable to get out of the hole, and there's when I exited the game to write this little report. royalblue
A little tip: As everyone knows it's not possible to color vertices in interior cell, but you can achieve a similar effect by placing a dark light near imperfect seams. Check the Light tab and you'll find them, and you can also create your own custom ones for greater effect. All in all I thought your cave was great though. Coming along and seeing the deep chasm with the BC trees to the left... vertigo! Very nice!

Added to the new internal release - truly a great job. :goodjob:
Greetings Quentin
That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs, but what a ship is - what the Black Pearl really is - is freedom.
