I thought this little post over on the Elsweyr forums might interest people: theKarithian's Elseweyr Meshes . Pay special attention to the potentially very Aztec 'themanespalace' in the third link.

Yes, and Babylonian as opposed to Aztec but nonetheless, the design styles kind of work for me, personally. I could see this sitting pretty in a jungle setting.

exilehunter said he might work on some aztec-style architecture for us, but he's a busy guy with lots of other commitments so it could take a while.
The Mane's Palace is going to be one of Elseweyr's main landmarks, so it would need a retex (possibly with mayan-style wall carvings/heiroglyphs) so as to make it unrecognisable. Also, due to my arrangment with theKarithian, he would like us to send him any retexes/alterations of his work for use in his own projects, which I think is very reasonable given the huge favour he's done us.

Well, i whipped up this quick model -
its missing the stairs on the sides but i plan to make those a separate mesh. Alternatively, i could disect the top segment and so that it can just be popped on top of growlfs pyramid model. And of course, you guys get to do the uvmapping and texturing coz i dont have the skills or time for it. If you have a specific example of a building, its best to either draw it or get a few pictures of them. |

I think we will need to decorate it with some tribal features. Obviously, feathers come to mind when considering the Aztecs and Mayans and that may work in conjunction with the Sarpa but I was thinking more along the lines of architectural 'add-on' features such as totemic items - poles, statues or some similarly sculpted piece of stonework. These could be added later and even applied to other bits of architecture throughout the mod, though never more so than in this location.
