Sorry to interrupt, guys. Please read the above posts as well.

If you're dealing with a nest of these things, it might be nice to have some sucking/ripping sounds to go with it. And as far as the nest design goes, LPS's concept could provide a superb 'egg harness' model for keeping the eggs inside whilst strapped to the nourishing Hist trees.

Quote:Originally posted by Ibsen's Ghost I'm not good with sounds. So "sucking and ripping" effects would have to be added by someone else. I can try to make the eggs as I described them. I cannot make eggs that monster babies actually hatch from and then attack you (though technically I had an idea on how to do just that, but too complicated for now - it's gonna be a future experiment of mine). I might do some other variations with a claw poking through the eggshell and fingers moving a little bit, a wing here and there......but I really would love a curled-up fetus concept art of a Sarpa argonian. I don't know what they look like, even as adults. I model best when looking at a sketch or picture. Can someone do that for me? You still got any talented sketch artists here?? Koniption PS - Senten, I sent you a PM.
Yeah, don't let those little turds get you down. Dingleberries stick for a while, but eventually they fall off.

I'll give him a nudge when I get home. He tends to come and go because he gets busy on his professional modelling work.

Quote:This thread shows the adults: Garuda race and other possibilities . Oh! I must have had a serious brainfart... I thought the Sarpa were more lizard-like, and not as bird like. I knew of Modax's Garuda model he was working on, but somehow I didn't connect them to be the same race. Well birds typically have hard shelled eggs, so the whole "foot pressing against the interior of the egg" animation might not seem right. But if you want, I can do the soft-shelled, oh so slightly transparent eggs with fetus shadow inside anyway for these bird people. Or are the Sarpa gonna be a different model from the Garuda, even though they're related?? (I saw that the Garuda were "Mach II" version of the Sarpa statement in that thread you linked me to..) If Sarpa are also gonna look like birds, then I can just Google a pic of an unhatched baby bird, and see what I can make of it. Also, how big, on average should I make the eggs? I don't want to make one too small to not see the effects, nor too big and have people wonder how on earth it came out of the bird.. LOL (You might not know the answer to that question nether...) Quote:Originally posted by KoniptionI think we're going to have them set up as NPCs, so they will be of a similar size to existing NPCs. Dunno if that helps with sizing up the eggs or not. |
