Yes, it's nice to have companions. It would be nice to have like joined missions, you take quest from one quild and you find out that someone else has the same quest, scripted of course. During the course of your joined quest you form some kind of connection with that person. What kind of connection is of course left to the player; mortal enemy or friend forever.
Something like group at the end of the Gothic 2. btw. took me 2 minutes to write this without looking at keyboard, lol.

That is not what I meant.
There will be major characters, Examples, in morrowind, the political situation was defined by vivic, the house heads, almalexia, daggoth ur, in elsweyr, there will be important characters. The mane, the Clan mothers, etc.

Companions both decrease the difficulty of encounters, but also make battles hectic, and thats a lot more dialogue and work to tie them in, there will be companions in the mod, but not faction specific.

Quote:Originally posted by Arbiter companions wouldn't be Main Characters.. they would be agent mostly.. guards.. spies who you got to help and such.. and it would be cool with fetch that item before the other ones.. or talk to him and kill him before the other ones... or kidnap him before the other ones.. but we shouldn't have any clean to boot companions they should be are reason why... Quote:there will be companions in the mod, but not faction specific. then I miss the point why not just use a normal companion mod..

Mainly so that suger-lips-habasi can be one. Completely random, but it would be an awsome throw back to morrowind.

1. How much impact should the quest-lines have on Elsweyr?
Large, but in a way that can be understood and accepted. If it involves secret plots and such, all of Elsweyr shouldn't know. Also, there shouldn't be any drastic changes like turning the jungles into forests... (Cyrodiil anyone? ) 2. How long should they be? A balance. Some that seem short, some long. There should be a constant changing of tempo to reflect the current situation. 3. How should they be structured? I like the way you said it at first, a few misc. quests, then a plot one, etc etc. However, again, you shouldn't be off on a FedEx quest when you've caught wind of an assassination plot. 4. How often should they intersect? If you mean between the 3 Powers, enough to make them seem different from each other. 5. Should individual quests have effects on the others? They should be, with tastes and whisperings of the final result, that should smack the PC in the face anyway. 6. Should the game world be noticably different at the end of whatever quest line the player chooses? The world itself should remain the same. Elsweyr is Elsweyr, with established cities, moon sugar, bandits and crime lords, etc etc. This shouldn't change. Some companions could be fun, but I wouldn't make a big deal of it. |

by length I meant the quest lines, all these questions refer to the quest lines themselves.

there should be some few compaions for one(or as many as it make sense..) quest(s).. they shouldnt be to much fighing or walking in either of the quests..
Quote:2. How long should they be? I suppose you mean the Quest's? Quote:They should be, with tastes and whisperings of the final result, that should smack the PC in the face anyway. well wouldnt that be strange since they(the main quest factions) fight for the power in Elsweyr.. ?
