Invaders Helm/Mask

Quite some time ago, when I was looking trough the pictures here at Silgrad Tower for some inspiration I saw a concept art for some kind of mask/helm. I liked the design and gave it a thought. Then I forgot it for a while until someone else said it was nice. Then I said that I would do it after the Morag Tong Armor. Well... today I felt that it was time to start doing it (since I had no school today, a fact that I had forgotten).

Just a few things, I've become better and faster at modelling but worse at keeping the polycount down since I, this summer, decided that I would learn a new kind of modelling, and I did.

Anyhow. *Click here to see pic*. This is what I'm using as concept. I'm generally done with the mask-part of the helm. I'm currently trying to get a good idea for the back of the head.

I think it would be cool if a hood could somehow be underneath the mask and then go out like a scarf or something around the neck. Grayish dirty hood or something along those lines.

Opinions and ideas are welcome and they get free drinks at the bar along with very old french chairs for takeout.

I can see the player running through a cave, and right as he turns the last corner one of those drags him back down.

Kind of resembles some freaky creature, that some guy killed, and then stapled to his face. Once you're done, make sure this only gets put on the most badass villains ever. I definitely don't want to run around in caves with NPCs wearing that, i'd be scared out of my mind.

Cult maybe? Definitely would make a really cool quest. I can envision a nice cave with a bunch of secret tunnels, to ensure that the cultists can always get behind you and surprise you.

Cannibalism would definitely go with that mask. I wouldn't say necromancy, but just a bunch of insane brainwashed cultists, killing, pillaging, ect. maybe even destroy an entire village.

Kinda like the guys in the hackdirt quest, but even more insane.

I've finished the model (and got some really messed up normals that I had to fix). Finished all UV-mapping and made some textures and a normal map. I like the result but I need to make the cloth-parts look more dirty and used.

When I made the texture for the mask I used alot of drawing with the mouse to keep the feel of bone in the concept. For the hood-like part I made a simple garment-texture and made a clothy normalmap. All I have to do now is to make some small changes (and possible requested changes) and run it though the conformulator (It'll be the first time for me so I don't know how it'll go).

I've been crying over the inactivity of this thread but now I'm simply going to post som pics of how my face looks like after all that crying.

I've made the scarf a bit dirty and colored and changed the small things that hold together the mask and also made a minor texture for them. Now it's just conformulating (conformulating will make it work like a normal head right?) and then it's done unless I've made or I'll make some terrible misstake.
