Howdy
Thx RW According to the TIL slaughterfish meat is offensive (noisome) but the scales are dried and served with other dishes and are considered a "Crunchy Treat" So your not wrong, just go it turned around. Its a shame about the apples, I rather liked the ones used in ES3 version Again, I think since we have OB and Morrowind both, we allready know what food items are available, we use the OB food, add in the standard Morrowind food Items and additional food items of our own (ie. the apples, oranges etc etc) We can also research some of the other provinces culinary traditions and use those as well, the reason I feel this would be legit is because cyrodiil has holdings in all the continent, it would make no sense that they wouldn't bring back something from those places Enjoy Diet Bob

I think considering morrowinds coast-heavy geography it would have to have more types of seafood as part of its diet. Here are some quick pieces of inspiration i found. My secret love of jellies becomes apparent here:

I don't think the food was necessarily limited, I think they just stuck to eating raw food. But a little creativity wouldn't hurt. ^.^

I think it's nice to get some variation as to what kind of dunmer eats which food. When you have lower class dunmer, they eat what they can get their hands on, pretty much the foods they hunt and grow in their backyard. Meanwhile, an upper class citizen would be one to import foods, so they would have more food like we would see in Cyrodiil.
As well as that, because of the close proximity to Skyrim and Cyrodiil, not only do they have food to import but there can also be vegetation and certain animals which would spread over the border. Not only would they make some usual foods types like we'd see in vanilla Oblivion, like meats, fruits, etc, but because we are in Morrowind this gives us a chance to change the food we already have and redo them in the traditional Dunmeri style of cooking. Some Imperial influence might also help them do the opposite by Imperializing the way they eat, trying to get them further away from their bizzarre diets. But you know, it would be nice to eat some cooked and prepared food for once, something I found flawed in Oblivion. They just eat the same food that you get right off the vine, no cooking or anything. The only cooked things I've found were the bread items and that nice pie your servant makes in the Skingrad player house.
Lol what?
