Hey guys,
Even though I've been working my job and been really busy with other things, I have managed to dedicate some time at night on some days to do some modding work. I managed to make a resin ( hardened tree sap) plate, bowl, cup, tankard, and goblet - so I'm working on making a complete set. I'm not done finishing the resin set yet. It does look in game, though, with a slight transparency to it, like real sap or amber has. I also have also gotten done doing a very thorough script for the rootworm travel, but have yet to test it. I had asked CLShade to do one for me, and he did send me some really good ideas, but now he seems to have a busier Real Life, so I'm taking it upon myself to make the script. I had tried to test the script earlier, and it was my first try at adding Dialogue to the CS for the rootworm guides I had set up - but I fudged it up big time, and it was not because of scripting errors....... I had unknowing deleted a whole bunch of vanilla Oblivion dialogue and got the "I HAVE NO GREETING" error on my guides. So I need to set up, all over again, the second rootworm, makes the rootworm guides, do the dialgoue correctly, etc. This is for testing purposes only. I have a feeling, that I will have to be the one to set up the rootworm guides, the scripts, and the dialogue for BlackMarsh using the Blackmarsh esm/esp. I'm the one most familiar with the setup as it currently is, and trying to explain how to do it to someone else (like you Ibsen), would probably cause more problems and hassles than if I did it myself. But I'll eventually get around to testing my script. Koniption
Yeah, don't let those little turds get you down. Dingleberries stick for a while, but eventually they fall off.

I really appreciate you going the extra yard, Koniption. It's an enormous help.
![]() ![]() It sounds like you're a lot further forward than I was expecting though. Bear in mind that SACarrow is a real authority on dialogue so be sure to ask him if you need help. Tbh, the whole issue of dialogue and AIs was something I've been putting aside for quite a while but I've been thinking about it lately. I would be best learning something about it so I can get my recruitable 'Anaster Marrowmir' idea off the ground but, more importantly, so I can start to populate places like Pholmolo with characters such as the Argonian Shaman....and equip everyone with appropriate clothing, items and weaponry. Ideally, someone in charge of this area would be good when we get to this stage as we will also need a few more items of clothing and armour and stuff once we're ready. I'm hoping my recruitment phase will help with this. Otherwise, it'll end up being me again.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Btw, I only recently noticed that my animated rootworm has parts of the mesh in the corners of the mouth jaws, that pull apart and rip, when they're not supposed to. It's actually a pretty bad tearing effect, IMO. I'll fix it later...another thing to go on my "list". I don't know how I missed seeing that earlier. Koniption

Okay, thanks. I must say, I hadn't noticed it myself.

Really?? Hmm, maybe I have already fixed it, but I was using an older nif, perhaps??
I'll have to doublecheck. I know I sent you the most up-to-date versions. But if you see any tearing of the mesh (like if instead of solid rootworm "flesh", you all of a sudden can see the landscape through parts of the rootworm in certain animation poses), be sure to tell me. Btw, I don't know why it doesn't say so at bottom of Silgrad Tower forum website, but today is my birthday. I'm 29 years old now. Steak dinner and cheesecake for desert for me, later tonight. Yum! Not that I'm trying to garner birthday well-wishing or anything from you all........... :bananarock: Koniption

Certainly time to set up a thread for your birthday, Koniption! I haven't had time to check out the 'ripping' yet btw.

How are the Cocoons coming along, DoZeNt?
In the meantime, I'd like to raise an issue concerning the fast travel implications of using the live rootworms. At the moment, there is one live rootworm outside of Rockguard. This can be moved if it doesn't quite fit there but we need to establish as a group:
One idea I had was to have the Everglades rootworm underwater but then, we might need the guide in order to assist the whole travelling script to take place and that might mean having the guide underwater as well.

imo it would be cool to script them to simulate movement, as in having them appear/disappear based on the time of day, the date, the month, etc. that way there is a bit of a surprise and strategy for the player. it would be a fairly easy script, just disable the rootworm head and enable a few rocks instead.
