Thought I responded to another thread on this.
Horse :check: Camel :check: Riding Cat :check: rare? It is in the Lore Desert Guar? re Divine Intervention? It should be in because the Aedra are Imperial Universals, but there is a Kitty religious pantheon too (or is that pantherion?), and so there may well be some khajiit temple network also. As it is desert, hows about summoning a Djinn to transport you? or a whirlwind? Magic Carpets - kittys like carpets to kneed their claws in... Lets get adventurous, and treat this as a bit of fun while all the deeper lore begins to work through!

Whatever we do, you better keep the endless desert theme, because the heightmap is work, and I want the player to explore it.... a lot.

Since the majority of our content is going to be in the deserts as well..... I know! Make divine intervention sacrifice an item! And besides horse varients, have all other travel be morrowind style.

I like the idea of having to sacrafice an item to use divine intervention. Also, making fast travel expensive, and adding horses made specifcally for the desert would encourage players to explore too.

One reason horses are so highly prized in desert areas is that they are so damn impractical. Now pleeeeaaase start thinking desert for the desert areas?
hint: camel exotica: if this is deep desert, then sand sharks as enemies, so what would the riding equivalent be? Maybe a sand version of a sea horse? Hows about adding a new dimension to the idea of a sea of dunes?

Have you read the entire thread? CAmels and desert lizards have both been brought up. I agree, however htere is no way to have something move beneath the landscape.

I think I can see where the poll is going...
Alright, so it is pretty much decided on the transport system, now how about camels and desert lizards (and magic carpets perhaps)? Where and how do you get them? Any modder's resources available? EDIT: riggidman made a post above, DA. top of the page. |

Don't worry, I didn't forget about those... well I forgot to mention them above, but I didn't forget about them entirely... There'll be a lot of choices for the player...
