Telvanni keep themselves safer with the fact that the upper tower needs to be levitated to inside or out...
so considering that we need a way for the towers to be secure butaccessible for those who should get top I think if portals/pads then you need to be either a Telvanni or have a 80 or higher intelligence If there is to be a spell, I think only Telvanni should know it or you get it by reading an in-game book called "Defenses of the Telvanni" or something... and then you can only use it if you have lots of magicka or intelligence.... and it will only work in the given spot around the tunnel for the levitation... of course acrobatic folks can jump and depending on the tunnel may be able to clamber up into the top areas of the tower |

I think you should be able to go up with normal levitation, like in morrowind. I haven't tried the levitation mod in oblivion though so i dunno if its any good.

You could go beyond making the levitation spell only work in Vvardenfel (since that wouldnt make any sence), and have it only work in the tube itself. If you could set up a script so that your levitation spell would only do something while in the tube, the excuse would be that the magic within the tube creates the levitation, the spell itself being a password of sorts. Extra particle effects could let you know its working.
Of course, a fully usable levitation spell would be majorly awesome :bananarock:, though it should only be given to the highest ranking Telvanni, and should only be usable with a master level Alteration. The password "tube only" spell being for low-mid level Telvanni. |

What about the myriad of dungeons in tes3 that required levitation to go through? That was imo one of the things that made tes3 more unique that tes4. And what about the island in vivec? Are those going to be dropped to ground level?
Why can't we just have good old levitation? Just make it so you are unable to cast magic or draw your weapon when you're levitating. |

I hope dungeons are the same as they were in tes3. Dungeons that required levitation should still require levitation. I mean things should be shifted around here and there, e.g. where there was a cave-in in tes3 you can now go through. I hope for the life of this mod that dungeons are not made in tes4 style.
I also think it would be extremely cool if we put cliffs in dungeons. Make them so you have to levitate or slowfall down, a jump to the bottom will result in immediate death. That would be something new. It also would be cool if you had to solve a puzzle or something with levitation. Make levitation something that is used for traveling between elevations and disable battle use. How hard would it be to make the island of vivec float? Would it use invisible supports? |
