Parapets (or battlements, I dunno, which one is the right term?)Will be added later on. I want to make it customizable, so the designer can adjust the length of those parapets, he could place just a single one or make one big extra "wall".

It's just a little difficult to make properly, the parapets, in their current state, have to be rotated in an angle of 5,657 or something like that.
That’s a little stupid, because that could require the designer to change his "angle" options all the time.

I'm still not sure what I should do.
Maybe I should just make a single battlement thingy and the designer can place one, two or more. But that would be like surrendering.
I think it would be really cool if the designer could adjust the length. just like the the other battlements I made.

I'll figure it out later; right now I'm working on a drawbridge.
Looking good, keep it up :goodjob:
Really nice Tobi!:goodjob:
you could model them out individually to let people place them. im not sure what program youre using, but in maya all you would have to do is extrude every second top face (while making sure that faces are locked together) to create the battlements.
the battlements are very close to being complete. I just need to finetune them.

edit:
You wanted battlements, here they are. Customizable as I promised.

Outset setpieces are alsmost done, I need only a few more, then I will proberly release this and begin working on the interrior setpieces.
Maybe a few more outside pieces will be added along the way.

My Fort Frostmoth test island is almost done, he's two pictures for comparison:

Morrowind: http://picasaweb.google.com/TTaastroem/M...8060737762

Oblivion:

It definatly feels alot like Fort Frostmoth, without the werewolves though.

Edit:

Just for information. The exterior setpieces now sum a total of 72. 23 of those are battlements.
Made a few doors too. Including a trapdoor.
Also made a building block, thought they could be placed around for atmosphere.
Excellent stuff, Tobi!

I just had a browse through your portfolio and really liked what I saw. I'm a big fan of those curving stairs especially.
Recreating those curving stairs is next on my list, but for now, I'm working on some roofparts.

And that's where I went into problems.
They don't look as good as the other fort pieces. It's difficult to make funtional rooftops, but I wanted to maintain functionality. So I sacrificed some visual quality in order to make them functional and customizable.
Besides, I think the player would rarely run around on roof tops, unless levitation spells are available.

By the way, I need to make around 30 models more, and then I'm done with the exterior parts. Can't wait to get indoors for a change Tongue

Edit: Curved stairs are done, what a b**ch that was. Had to start over 2-3 times because of some mapping and collision problems, but they work now:

Edit2:
Forgot to mention that the arched doors are done too:

Nice spiral stairs. the stones wouldn't be laid at an angle though. 30 more pieces, There is going to be a piece for everything isn't there!
Well, the stones had to be laid in an angle otherwise the mapping wouldn't fit. Because of the darkgreen"shadow" area at the the top.

It's about 15-20 pieces now. At least I think there's going to be a piece for everything you can think off. You can look at the first page, I've made a list of finished models there(alternitivly you can look through my portfolio), so if you think anything is missing, let me know and I will surely make it.
