Looking forward to it. I'll focus my own efforts on the jungle for now (or at least when my work schedule becomes lighter).
ANNOUNCEMENT - Any visitors will notice that things aren't progressing well during this period. I'd love to see others take over when I'm not capable of producing but sadly, unless it's one of the core team, that tends not to happen. Anyway, this is just to make sure everyone knows that normal service will resume once I've finished preparing my students for exams. After the next weekend, I will have much more time on my hands to get things going again with a vengeance.
Would have been nice to see Core Team Members take over and keep BM active. I always thought that was part of their job.
I don't think Ibsen is pointing fingers at the core team, according to what he wrote in his post.

As for myself, I'm still mostly on hiatus, for now. Honestly, I am doing a "little" modding related to Blackmarsh, but it's unofficial and it goes slowly.

If I see any new posts in Blackmarsh that need my attention, I'll do my best to answer it.

Yeah, I'm not pointing fingers here but it would be nice if I could leave the running of the forums to another occasionally. It's a lot to manage for one person and I'm still very much in the thick of it at work right now. I haven't had a proper weekend to myself for weeks. It always gets better a little later though....

When you say "running of the forums" are you referring to administrative duties?
Yes but that also involves getting people focused on priority areas and doing a bit of people management. Some people don't seem to notice what jobs need to be done and how urgent they are. Others may not be aware of how they can contribute because they haven't considered the 'big picture' of what needs doing...and yet they would probably find some of those things quite fun.

I'm not criticising the team here particularly, but I do tend to find that when either myself or Deeza are absent then people don't contribute much because you need a 'buzz' about the place. The fact is that the project is getting pretty fantastic but it seems that prompting is needed to get things going. I'd hoped that, at times when we were less active, things could run themselves to some extent and people could "take the ball and run with it".

It's always at the back of my mind that some people are reluctant to contribute to big projects because there's the ever-present fear that it's going to stop running based on the simple fact that so many do. Well, I think we're too far down the line not to have a pretty fine release of some sort on the way but hesitance like this still affects progress.

No matter. I'll have another busy weekend again but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Btw, Koniption is working on some cool stuff again! =)
It'll be nice to see what KP is working on Big Grin
I should be back with a bang this weekend....I'll need to take a rest after this shitty term though...
FYI
I am back after a few busy weeks and a lot of traveling.
My vacation starts coming Monday. Smile
