Well, when I picture Bonemold, I don't see much tattered cloth, but I do see a cape and/or a neck and face wrap that could be effected by wind and physics. Maybe if there were some NPC's out in the wild that had on Bonemold, then there could be additions of tattered cloth, but I don't think that Great House guards would let something like that happen to their uniforms (which is pretty much what their armor is to them).

Maybe I'll go and take another look at the concept art from Morrowind and think about it again. I mean, it's not a bad idea, and I kinda like the tattered look myself (half the pants I own have holes ripping in them somewhere, but they are always the most comfortable to wear Big Grin ), but I don't know how Great House guards would like that kind of appearance.
We don't have be that true to the original. Wink
And yeah, it gives more ''rogue'' like look.

I know, but maybe if it were confined to those out in the wilderness, not really to those that work for Great Houses? I'm not trying to follow the original to the letter, just trying to get an idea of status and class for different NPC's and classes. Guards of Great Houses just wouldn't let tattered pieces of cloth hang around and down-grade their appearance. If the guard look tattered and such, then what do you think people will think of the House itself if they can't even dress their guard properly.

Like I siad, I like the idea, but perhaps it should just be limited to more outlandish and "rouge-ish" types.
You're right. Smile
Perhaps on guard which are in war zones or ones in the wild.

That sounds more plausable. :goodjob:
Still, guards seem kind of too static without something moving on them (at least to me).

Thats why I said that there should be some kind of half cape or cloak hanging from their shoulder. It could be the colors of the House they areve and have some sort of symbol on it. That way the guards would look more vibrant, and class them up some from regular NPC's who have bonemold armor.

The cape could be something given to them when they join a house guard. Guards that are posted out in war stricken area's or out in the wild, could have the ragged frayed parts to the uniform and the cape could look tattered and fadded some as well.
I think only upper clansmen, nobles, or generals should have capes... normal warriors in bonemold don't want to have capes when in battle, they get in the way....
only those trained to fight "in-style" or who can afford to sit back and take off the cape to join battle later should wear capes....

I don't think ordinary warriors should have capes...

That's fine with me. Now if we do do this, should the capes be another peice of clothing (like a shirt) or will they be part of the armor (so we would have to make multiple variations of the same House armor)? I'm thinking that the shirt would be best, as that way we don't have to make even more types of Bonemold armor, and we could have more than just House Guard wear them. Other high class NPC's and even perhaps the PC can wear that shirt and have a cape as well.

Should they be a full cape, or just from one shoulder (or both)?
either style is fine... maybe different for different Houses...
